Republicans taking to random attempts at impeachment because they are butt hurt by Trumps brace.
I remember when Clinton was impeached, and it was massive news and rare. Trumps made it so that it can become a regular occurrence through his antics and it won’t surprise me in the slightest if we start seeing it on the regs.
Pissing all over democracy - seems to be a wordwide theme right now.

Fake news, inexistent journalism and ignorance is starting to cost a lot of time and effort. Here in France right wing nut jobs keep demanding new laws to cover stuff yet the laws they demand already exist (often the problems emerge because the police don’t do their job (as they have decided it’s under them).
This is compounded by lazy ‘politicians’ who don’t know what their job entails (the Macronites who only started in politics relatively recently).

5 in the last week in the Capitol, lord knows how with the Covid. It’s gone way beyond some flat earthers convinced that NASA is a government agency designed to spread fake news.

One of the motifs of the right wing here in America is ‘whataboutism.’ Trump mob storms capitol and five people dead? What about Seattle? 100 days of riots. Antifa. Etc.
Trump has rightly been impeached for a second time. If there was any justice he would have been impeached over Russia, convicted and booted out in disgrace. The other two impeachments would then never have happened, but Mueller was a gentleman, grappling in a cesspit, and William Barr smoothed it all over, abetted by a Republican Senate. So to this day most Republicans think the Russia think was a nothing burger, but it should have been an impeachment.
Then Ukraine impeachment.
Then insurrectionist mob impeachment.
They are all massively worse than anything Nixon ever did, for example, but in our strange world, where the truth doesn’t matter, the Republicans think none of it is a big deal, and we should expect superfluous impeachment charges coming at Biden, posthaste, in some sort of misguided tit-for-tat move.
I don’t know what the answer is. People are stupid. Ill informed. Easily led.
