Diogo JOTA: 2020/21

Least he isn’t going to parties with 20 other randomers and then moaning that those who criticise it should be better.

I imagine his return from injury a bit like that that Vincent Vega meme - out of FA Cup, out of PL title race, perhaps even out of top four and out of Champions League, looking around with his hands outstretched, asking where it all went.

You know it’s depressing when he is behind Keita in the availability stakes, mind you he might jump ahead of him at some point.

Will jump ahead of him…

2 or 3 weeks away then another week or two full training before hes considered so we ain’t seeing him until mid to late April… :sleepy:

So he’ll be missing almost half of the season.

At least he got injured in the most important game of the season.

That’s what @PeachesEnRegalia said.

What I got from Klopp was 2-3 weeks away from being available.

The club publicly said January and I thought early Feb. Now it’s likely early/mid March. That’s just bad luck. No other way to describe it.

THAT’S A GODDAMN LIE AND YOU KNOW IT!!!

I guess sometimes you have to submit to fate. This season has been ridiculous. The refereeing & VAR has been just scandalous. We lost the Anfield vibe. Then, the injuries. I mean every season we have 1-2 major injuries, but this!!! I’m just happy that some of the players at least have been available consistently.

You’re thinking of @Lowton_Red.

The injury to Jota has in reality become the most devastating injury of the year, over and above VVD. I think the injury to VVD is much more noticeable due to all the other CB injuries.

It really hasn’t.

No, Virgil was our rock and the best defender in Europe. I think our front 3 are all off form together but Mo still bangs in the odd goal. We didn’t have Jota last two seasons with our record points and trophies.

Not just VVD as I said you can’t have 6 months of four first team players missing every game, we’ve had rotation and that starts to play on us

Unlike others I do agree, we are still dominating teams but our front 3 aren’t firing on full cylinders and when Jota came in he put pressure on their places and made them fight for the Jersey and we were up until his injury pretty free scoring.

However, with big Virg there it would be more 0 - 0 scorelines as the opposition wouldn’t score the goals they have.
