I hear you, he looks to be an excellent player and I can’t wait to see where this new breed takes us.

Still, it doesn’t quite sit right with me to downplay Henderson’s contribution. He was the club captain and won everything with us. We had a lot of special times.

Obviously it didn’t end well with the Saudi move, especially after supporting LGBT right, and the criticism there is valid.

So like all evaluations of a person, it is complicated, but with that said, I still can’t overlook the excellent contribution Henderson made to the club, as he won the lot.

Hopefully Szoboszlai matches, and even betters that. As an individual player he looks a good step up from Hendo’s level on early showing, even if he is more attacking.

I will downplay his contribution from last season all I want, he was useless.

I still have a tendency to forgot how young he is. He’s been someone people have known about for quite a long time, and one people even here spoke about several years ago as being such an obvious good fit that it didnt make much sense for there to have been so little in the way of credible links. Then you remember he’s still only 22 and realize that means he was probably only 18 when he played against us that one time in the CL for Salzburg, which was arount the time people started taking notice of him, and so it makes sense that for all his obvious talent we bided our time moving for him.

But he’s just mustard.
