He’s not just been Captain of Hungary since he was 22, but from even younger had all the pressure for their success put on his shoulders. Become a leader at Liverpool is a very natural development for him, but it doesnt need a formal recognition. Yet.

I think its not worth putting massive pressure on one of our performers at the moment, leadership does not to me seem like the issue, as long as he carries himself with respect in the team then thats fine.
Don’t know if anyone is putting pressure on him, but he certainly displays a calmness and authority that natural leaders often have. These are attributes that are often respected by others, and clearly he’s showing respect to his team mates, manager and the club by saying what he did, as well as leading by example during this difficult period.
Nice penalty, even if I was expecting Mac to take it.
5 goals and 5 assists now in 22 games.
He’s the type of player who needs to be at least at 10+10, so he’s going in the right direction, being almost mid-season.

The pattern seems to be big injuries are put out by someone like Joyce and then smaller ones are just said by Slot in a PC so hopefully the latter happens here

Posted in the injury thread but Pearce has suggested he may make Spurs so the rumours were bullshit after all.
Even if he misses it shouldn’t be long.

Too much power on the penalty. Obviously if it went a little bit lower then we could’ve said that’s a top penalty, but the manner in which he took it didn’t have to be that powerful, for where he aimed.
Ahead of the penalty in Milan without Salah, I thought Mac would be the one to take it. But Szobo’s was good that night. Yesterday, less so.
