Wankers are starting their pitch now grrrrr
The āone dreamā of Liverpool midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai, 25, is to play for Real Madrid , says the Hungary captainās national team coach Marco Rossi. (Marca - in Spanish)
Yes, Iāve already seen that; this story comes from the Hungarian national coach, and Spanish gossip media picked it up.
Yep my 1st word described all of them and sorry for the naughty word.
A couple of RM supporters on reddit mentioned that they saw the post, but said that they loved watching Dom plays, but he does not really fit RM profiles, and do not think RM really should even attempt to sign him.
The whole quote from Rossi actually covers both bases - heās always dreamed of playing for Real Madrid but it would be a difficult transfer and Liverpool is already one of the greatest clubs in the world and Rossi could see him extending his contract there.
It was mainly aimed at Marca, but his coach needs to keep his trap shut
Donāt know why would Real need him, they have enough athleticism and hard working players in midfield, control since Kroos left is what they need (and what Xabi wanted to add, but the club didnāt get him).
And our shooter is finally up top double digit numbers in goals.
He is a well-known Ronaldo fan and thatās it. But between being a fan and their choices are different things. Iām more worried about what his agent is asking for in the next deal; heās clearly one of the best players in the squad now and captain material, and could demand Isakās (Ā£280k) money level. Donāt know if we could accept it or not ![]()
This list without Juninho in it immediately invalidates it.
Iām just glad to have some more directness from free-kicks, seems to be a bit of a lost art these days.
Hands off
Inevitable that noise around him will increase until such time he signs a new deal. His current deal runs to summer 2028, and hes reportedly on 120kpw.
Im hoping the club can agree a new deal for him sooner rather than later. Not a fan of the club leaving it late again and again, granted, it takes two to tango.
Nice little write up about Dom
āSzoboszlai hasnāt always played in his preferred number 10 position this season, but is scoring more frequently - his stunning free-kicks against Arsenal and Manchester came in games he started at right-back.ā
Thing is, Slot said last season that Szobo told him the single #10 spot isnāt his favourite position and that he sees himself a bit deeper than that.
He came here from playing mostly on the right side of a 4-2-2-2 at Leipzig. Klopp initially planned to use/convert him into a RCM #8 in our 4-3-3, basically replacing Hendo (position wise). Had a great start, then dropped off a little bit, then returned again.
Then Slot used him as the single #10/second striker in last seasonās 4-2-3-1. Pressing wise, he was immensely important. Attacking/creative/numbers wise, not really enough for our second highest positioned player on the pitch. Perhaps he felt that pressure also and though heād be better deeper (which would mean going back to the role he had in the different midfield structure under Klopp).
There are good reasons why we went for someone like Wirtz.
And yeah, Szoboās reaction (Iām sure it wasnāt the only reason) to that was outstanding. A little bit like Giniās reaction and form from 2018 onwards to when we signed Keita (+ Fabinho and almost Fekir⦠the whole midfield in that summer after Kiev must have thought what is going on?).
Weāll see whatās next, but yeah for a player like him and someone who takes such pleasure in shooting, he should be on at least 10+10 numbers in all competitions every season. This is the first time he might accomplish that.
Szoboās story so far has been interesting and his evolution in the context of the teamās evolution will be interesting to follow.
Are we seeing signs of fatigue here after carrying the team for most part of the season?
Well I wouldnāt be surprised if his form drops a bit all players have that in a season.
His passing was off last night, thatās true. Itās also not easy, going from so high up the pitch to so low, thrown everywhere. In some of his last games at RB, I wished Slot didnāt put him there. We ālostā it a little bit with our choices in that position for a few successive games and what we lost elsewhere as a result.
