Nah, north of the Tweed is an amazingly beautiful, fantastic land full of friendly, normal, well adjusted people capable of fitting in anywhere in the world - except for @sbym

Isn’t the Tweed in Scotland? I’d imagine the only people north of it are reindeer herders.

It is also the border bewteen QLD and NSW.

So nuking south of it is automatically improving anywhere south

Sorry, I love Melbourne and Tassie and I’ve got loads of good mates in Sydney.
Could you maybe rethink your nuclear strike plan?

Maybe they are related

Hey that’s enough don’t you mean south of the Murray river where the Mexicans are….

Spent some time in byron bay in the mid and late 90’s,has it changed that much.

Nah, anywhere south of the Tweed is full of mexicans

So when you say ā€˜amazingly beautiful’ you mean ā€˜inbred cane toad bogans’ and when you say ā€˜friendly, normal, well adjusted people’ you mean the cesspit of culture that at its intellectual zenith is responsible for Clive Palmer, Pauline Hansen and Joh Bjelke-Petersen?
Yeah seems accurate.

I’ll agree that South Aussies are cunts, though!

Byron Bay is magnificent beauty and Wategos is one of the best beaches anywhere. Good music scene and bars make it the place to go….

BUT

Not going anymore. It is chaotic. Now you have all the blow in rich ā€œcelebritiesā€ and shitloads of wealthy boomers buying in.

No longer the peaceful hippy place.

Thats fair but Wategos especially has been wealthy boomer land for 20-30 years now. The rest of Byron has just kinda caught up and now places for hippies and alternative culture have been replaced by their plastic cousins the influencers. Much prefer Noosa, even though it’s nominally in QLD.

Correct. Much prefer Noosa and Sunny coast over the Goldy and Byron.

Grew up on the Goldy, and as much as I love it, Sunny Coast is miles ahead (or behind, it feels like the Goldy in the 80’s & 90’s) so it seemed when I was last went there in 2004

Great to see the LNP and Morrison kicked out of government! Looks like we’ll see more greens and independents too which is good with probably a minority govt.

Is this Western liberal democracy in a nutshell?? From some plonker in Sydney.

Honestly, I think the whole thing is hoo-hah, it never changes, so I’m just sticking with the devil the better you know and that will be Morrison. I can’t stand the other guy - he just whinges like anything. Can’t stand people putting others down and making up stories and twisting them. So yeah, Morrison because they know the budget, the Treasurer’s all right, their team look like they know what they’re doing. The others I don’t really have much confidence in. But I have to be honest, I don’t really know much about them.

I don’t know what I’m talking about, but I’m going to continue anyway.

So is voting in Albanese a case of anything but Liberal or a case of Nothing but Labour?
