Is it a coincidence…or am I just imaging that ever since Trumpy has become involved with plastic fantastic Elon…we are having warnings of AI, Starlink, plastics involvement in Federal Accounts(so it has been claimed), holding countries to ‘ransom’ by tariffs…who is running the US Trumpy or Elon by proxy…it all seems rather iffy…obviously I’m only a grandma who doesn’t get involved in US politics…but something isn’t right…or am I just over thinking…
$7.42 for eggs?? EGGS??
Musk’s maternal grandfather was big into that before moving to South Africa, because 1950’s Alberta was too woke for him.
With the re-election of Trump , the US has now officially adopted the Russian system of oligarchy / kleptocracy. Comrade Musk , his South African Cabal , and the other titans of industry who control Silicone Valley , and thereby public opinion , are reported to be extremely satisfied with the new system of governance.
thats batshit crazy…
hes virtually threatened a commonwealth country…
imagine if a president prior to 2016 said this… itd be a crisis
It is.
Any further proof required he is way off his cruet!
It’s simple, Trump is running the US govt like he ran his businesses, with the addition of Musk. Look at what happened to Trump’s businesses since he took over from his dad. Look at what happened to Twitter after Musk took it over. And the fact that Tesla would not be in the green without substantial US government subsidies.
The world has to treat them in kind. Like rogue businessman. Cut them out of the supply chain, source alternatives for the goods and services. Simple. That’s the only language they understand.
What’s the go here for Canada? If there is lower demand for Canadian crude from the US, do they have other markets to look to? Can they favour other markets knowing those other markets might be more stable? I’m just trying to understand how Canada can prepare knowing that Trump at any moment might raise crude oil tariffs to the full 25%. Maybe beyond.
@Arminius pointed out further up the thread that actually, the grade of crude oil that the US imports from Canada is more suited to diesel, while the grade they produce internally is more suited for petrol, so it’s not the driving anywhere that would be the issue, but the inflation hit via shipping costs skyrocketing.
