Key difference being that Netanyahu (and Bin Salman to a lesser degree)) represents a country that is in a geopolitical alliance with the United States, while Putin represents an outright hostile state, which directly threatens other US allies daily.
I would say that is a pretty damn significant difference myself.

But I know what you are getting at, obviously. Trump and personal transactionalism.
But the fact remains that Putin is extremely hostile to the United States, even though he chooses to show Trump his other face in meetings and phone calls.
The meeting in Alaska (Russians are bringing as earlier stated a team to talk about arms control,economic cooperation and such bullshit to derail everything) will coincide with the Russians very soon launching an ICBM to show off. Prepararions are under way and Trump will buy it and be maniplated as always.

They will be testing Skyfall/9M730 Burevestnik to make an impression on Trump. Which will work. Again.

No chance of it to happen, but as Trump doesnât respect any kind of interrnational law, how about him going into full Borgia-style mode, arresting Putin and his clique, before water-boarding them into submission? 
No idea what the consequences would be, but it would be wonderful to see the guy who has done everything since decades to weaken international law, fall victim to his schemes.

Sandwich guy had his charges dismissed in DC court. The DOJ refiled in federal court and then sent 20 officers to house to rearrest him.
Nothing about any of this is about actually addressing crime because no one serious about that would put this sort of resources into such an absurd case. This is solely about sending very visible messages about what happens to dissenters.
