Who is ‘sandwich guy’?
A DOJ employee who threw a ‘subway’ sandwich at federal officers. There’s a picture above.
Political discourse in the US hits a new low.
A politican or party who only ever goes with what is currently polling well is one with with no core of soul and cannot nor should not be trusted. Sometimes standing for the right things will be temporarily unpopular and it seems like maybe people now coming around to the idea that their ideas on what was woke and how bad that is were wrong
Alexandr Lukashenko is now highly respected.

It is note worthy that Trump respects dictators that cling on to power, more than democratically elected leaders that respect their electorate and the law.
Not surprising of course, but we should never forget this.
Our favorite foreign minister in Alaska, with a t-shirt, symbolising empire and power in Alaska (no, it’s not just by chance or because he likes it, as these theatrical people do nothing in public by chance).

Putin today, per WH/Pool:
Secretary Marco Rubio
Secretary Scott Bessent
Secretary Howard Lutnick
Director John Ratcliffe
Susie Wiles
James Blair
Beau Harrison
Nick Luna
Dan Scavino
Steven Cheung
Robert Gabriel
Karoline Leavitt
Will Scharf
Ross Worthington
Ambassador Steve Witkoff
Ambassador Monica Crowley
Rubio is the only qualified person there.
No, Ratcliffe isn’t qualified to meet and deal with the highly professional Siloviki:
Most of them are just going to get a selfie with their second favourite fascist.
It should not be underplayed how alarming it is that Secretary Scott Bessent and
Secretary Howard Lutnick are there. What purpose do they serve in a negotiation regarding Russian withdrawal from Ukraine ? None. They serve a purpose in terms of economic cooperation with RU. That they are there, but military and intelligence experts are not there, is highly, highly alarming.
Silver lining is that the Chief Bitch , is unhappy regarding treatment of her puppets. But this is also probably the only one:

Wouldn’t russia, with all the sanctions against them,be a very lucrative place for america to do business.
It’s not.
Except for import of natural resources, uranium, oil, gas, etc. But Trump admin supposedly doesn’t want that (tariffs on said import from other countries) and want increased production of own resources instead.
I have a slightly different take.
One of the problems with being an idiot and not recognizing that is you cannot see the complexity in difficult problems. The result is you eschew expertise because it is likely to tell you that a solution is more difficult to land on than you imagine it should be. You end up assigning people to managed issues they are completely unequipped to handle simply because they agreed with you. Once invited into that inner circle your remit can be anything. If there is no respect for content matter expertise then what matters in assigning someone to a task is loyalty and willingness to say “yes boss.” This is how Trump ran his government first time out and has doubled down on it this time.
So in that reading these two are not there because they are his trade guys and he’s there to talk trade (although he is because that’s what he fancies himself to be a master of and so will make non-trade conversations ones about trade). They are there because they are his guys for whatever the matter of discussion is on any given day.
Well, I hope you are right. But I have read for over a week now, leaks from the Russians on what they want to talk about. They are seeking to relegate Ukraine to only one of the topics to buy time, and want to talk about Arms Control for strategic weapons, economic cooperation and much more. This could give Trump wins to boast about.
And this is what I fear; that they run circles around him with tertiary issues where they think they can afford to easily give concessions to the US.
Look at the Russian delegation:
The absolute best guys they have on economics (including their autistic minister of defence, who is really an economist).
It’s telling that they are not bringing their heavy weight security people. FSB chief, SVR chief, GRU chief, the generals they always bring when discussing military matters or geopolitics, none are there. They always bring them when they are serious regarding security issues, such as in Istanbul and elsewhere.
So I fear a giant Russian diversion and manipulation of the US.
" The Russian delegation will include Ushakov, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, Defense Minister Andrei Belousov, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov, and Russian Direct Investment Fund head Kirill Dmitriev, the advisor said."

Trump wants money. He’s a grifter. Putin has the goods on him (probable paedophile, so he could sink Trump easily. If not that, I’d be surprised, but at the least there are sordid personal details, not to mention loans and crooked business stuff). Hence the deference Trump always has to Putin, even if on occasion he will act like he is being tougher, to suit.
This will all be about money and business opportunities in Russia. He wants a Trump tower in Moscow. Putin wants sanctions to be lifted, or eased.
Ukraine, I fear, will be way down the agenda.
Trump will want to say he is an architect of peace if he gets some sort of a ceasefire. But it won’t be a just peace. Land will be lost to the aggressor, and violating international borders by force is of course a huge no-no. If there is a ceasefire I would not trust it. I would see it more as an opportunity for Russia to re-arm and recharge.
Europe and Ukraine will object, strongly. But unfortunately Europe has a huge issue to face in meaningfully arming Ukraine to the degree required to not only hold Russia back, but ultimately defeat them.
I don’t think that will happen. I don’t think Europe has the will to do what is required.
So I expect Trump and Putin will carve it up.
Ukraine will get shafted, while Zelensky and Europe will be marginalized.
I hope I am wrong.
Someone get that man a Coke.
Vlad, Bubbe, I’m your white knight…
All I can think about is the EU agreeing to buy lots of US oil and gas that the US hasn’t got.
US buys from RU and sells on to EU.
Hold my beer…
