Speaking of health insurance, I have to buy a plan for my family for next year by December 15th. The cost was already exorbitant and it is going to be a real struggle to pay the new premiums. I haven’t seen the prices yet, but I’ve been warned they are all much higher.

I could comfortably buy another house with that money. It’s ridiculous.

Reeves is in an incredibly difficult position, because the Labour base expects an end to Tory austerity, but the UK economy is generally seen as fragile, public finances are a bit of a mess, and the most likely scenario is a global downturn. Canada was in a similar situation on the first three points, and even with a booming global economy it was absolutely brutal for the people around Finance (equivalent to the Exchequer in the UK). If the US have managed to engineer themselves an AI-flavour dotcom bubble, or worse another 2007 house of cards, it will be a couple of orders of magnitude harder for Reeves - or more likely her successor, because someone will have to pay the political price.

I have heard that private plans are pushing upwards, not in parallel with ACA, but much higher than the rate of inflation.

That’s the galling thing. I didn’t vote for this, and neither did millions of other Dem voters, but we are getting shafted. The usual political variations from one party to another are seismic shifts under this idiot. It’s a long way from over, I fear.

Sadly it is always this way, those who vote for it can suck it up, but never admit to voting them in, while those who did not vote for him get to wear it.
The ones who annoy me are those who cant be arsed voting then whinge about it, of course in Trump’s America they try to disenfranchise as many as they can, another gerrymander.
Many complain about compulsory voting here in Oz,but at least whinging just gets you laughed at!..or abused :joy:

See if you can find video footage of that press conference where the Novo exec passes out. Then find Kennedy. He hot foots it out of there like he’s just accidentally killed a prostitute and needs to exit the scene. It’s like he was trying to protect himself from the damage of 5G disease that took down that other guy.

Ask Trump and he will tell you he doesnt know him but he heard he was not guilty

It is difficult to overstate how laughably stupid many of the common arguments were for why Trump was the better choice. Drain the Swamp. Law and Order. The other side are corrupt and are only looking out for themselves.

This isnt about not respecting differences of opinions, but of people just utterly convincing themselves of pure fantasy

Apparently he went off stage and got a chair and a wet towel for the guy who collapsed

Perfect illustration of how badly our news has failed to meet the demands of this era

Why would anyone frame that question as a “do you agree” question when it is a matter of fact? If you want to raise that why not say something like “what is your response to a president constantly misleading the American public about inflation and prices?”

Just another to add to the long list of reasons eh…

Im sure there was a robust vendor qualification process and it was conducted completely independently from those around the president.
