Israel for me are key.
They are the ones that really wanted this war. They want to dominate the region, expand and basically topple the Iran government. I am not sure they will stop.
I could see a scenario where the region is left in conflict, the US pulls out and Israel enforces itself as the dominate power.

I donât think Israel truly has that capability. More importantly, I donât think support for Israel has ever been this weak in US politics, and every day of this conflict seems to be weakening it.
That said, I think they will do everything they can to ensure the conflict remains at this intensity

deplorables have to deplore. Ultimately the only way rid of them is through comprehensive, nationally consistent, rigorous and compulsory education which isnât happening in the US before a bloody revolution.

Itâs like theyâve all talked amongst themselves and thought yeah this is going pass. Would have been nice for a few words from the Democrats considering Iâm not sure it would get back through the house with the mail in ballot restrictions and the talking filibuster is nonsense.
I expect they will end up trying to pass something via the senate on a simple majority and try to implement it and it will all end up being a total disaster. Because thatâs everything the senile half wit touches. Talking filibuster sounds like something theyâve convinced themselves on social media that would work that in reality it just wonât. The bill would just fall, telling the minority opposition what you are going to do to bully them into a bill that you keep adding stuff to that seems unrelated and that your leader has said will destroy the democrats.

I think completely independent of this legislation, returning to a talking filibuster would be a good thing. It makes legislation easier to pass which should result in more coherent bills being written rather than trying to cram every single thing into a single mammoth bill. It also commits Senators to floor votes on difficult votes that today they can avoid because the lax approach to the filibuster means its never brought to the floor, or when it does they can hide behind it being an imperfect bill and they had to vote for the killing puppies provision because someone added it to the tax cut bill they had to sign. It just makes them far more accountable by forcing them to show their hand far more clearly and frequently.

I have just seen a report on CNN saying that Trump is now praising Albanese for giving sanctuary to the five who sought asylum.
Of course, any Iranians thinking of doing the same will no doubt consider what the consequences could be for their families back in Iran.
