This lady really does have the measure of Hegseth..!

He’s 100% right.

In the service of Trump making a fool of himself, can’t get anything right, cant even make a goose of himself without collateral damage, feel really sorry for those two people.

Seems the 14th farce has pushed him completely over the edge.only 3.5 years, unless he cancels the constitution!

You’re welcome!

It makes the internal disagreement over WMDs in the build-up to the attack on Iraq somewhat quaint.

Senator Duckworth absolutely hammered him over his comments about renaming US bases.

I had not heard of Novosel before that exchange, but Hegseth’s already appalling comment is orders of magnitude more so after looking at this:

Notable that his Medal of Honor was earned rescuing allies as well as American soldiers.

Rush to Everton - neverton

i believe was the article title…i reckon i still have that…(and every other shoot and match magazine i ever bought) …in storage somewhere

how good were the player match ratings, youd just take for granted and use as a scouting tool!!!..we were so innocent

Yupp.

I mean, the stuff I am reading before I hit the sack (have been silly and waiting for IAF to bomb Arak tonight) is pretty spectacular

No one knows anything, who is in control or who is advicing the president  It is tragicomic !!! I mean, you have a Gabard who is supposed to have such a job, but she is out of it and now Mr. Drunk is out of the loop too, according to WP. It’s absolutely hysterical ! Then you wake up the next second and realise that Trump is the guy who is in absolute control of 1500 Strategic warheads.

Here is the article. They say “more experience”, but guess who they mean ?

A group chat of government friends is absolutely pouring contempt on Trump for tucking his tail between his legs and fleeing Kananaskis. What exactly has he needed to be in DC for during the past 48 hours?

There was this thing about some very important yuge flags.

Personally, I just think he was bored. He did attend the situation room, this is true, but he had already made up his mind that he would let the Iranians stew a bit in fear and not give the “Go” yet (he likes that kind of power over humans), so he may as well have stayed a day extra.

The situation room attends the President, not vice versa.

Basically, I don’t think he wanted to deal with the situation that he has created for himself - a gathering of Western leaders entirely prepared to ignore his disruptions, after having assumed he had nothing to actually contribute. His departure was intended to send the message to Europe that they are irrelevant, not him.

The two (Trump and John Bolton) no longer speak, so Mr. Bolton said he had no idea what Mr. Trump would decide. He was not sure if Mr. Trump knew himself. But in his experience, Mr. Bolton said, Mr. Trump was “frantic and agitated” in national security crises.

“He talks to a lot of people and he’s looking for somebody who will say the magic words,” Mr. Bolton said. “He’ll hear something and he’ll decide, ‘That’s right, that’s what I believe.’ Which lasts until he has the next conversation.”

It’s still anyone’s guess , no matter what’s being reported out. We must all await the arousal of the great fat fuck and see what kinda mood he’s in today , which talking head catches his attention on Fox , and which idiot lickspittle is first and last to speak to him today.

America , fuck yeah.

The one common factor amongst all incredibly rich people is that they got lucky. The intelligent ones realise that. The idiots think it was all down to their supreme skill at making money. They will either remain lucky or become bankrupt.

Some historical perspective.

India doesn’t trust it’s interests will be served if there’s a mediator. Even Nehru regretted the IWT made earlier because it still didn’t stop Pakistan from starting wars despite the very generous terms to Pakistan in that treaty.

There however have been cases where disputes were resolved with that of a mediator but not bilateral disputes with Pakistan (not after the world bank brokered iwt).

As of this particular flashpoint.

There might have been some element of Pakistan requesting US to approach India for the ceasefire. And the request by the US govt might have had some influence on the decision making by the Indian Govt.

It’s not as if it’s ceasefire before the attack , the abeyance of the IWT by India continues and isn’t challenged(except the voices in Pakistan). What the US govt has done is probably what the Clinton administration did in the kargil conflict etc. Trump being the idiot he is thinks that he can take the Gandhi peace prize for bringing lasting peace to India and Pakistan.

I heard he was avoiding Zelensky who arrived shortly after he left. I’ve no idea if that’s accurate but certainly plausible.

Not that it changes the validity of her argument, but it is still worth remembering that Duckworth is a double amputee as a result of a helicopter she was piloting in Iraq being hit.

Perfect illustration of the failures of the US press. They are like a computer designed to take random information and make up a coherent story out of it. He has scaled back to this group not because they are more experienced but because he is currently frustrated with the people he is excluded and they wont give him the information he wants to hear.

But play out the angle they are pushing there - what is the implication of a president having to cut out his own DNI and DoD when debating a military operation because they arent experienced enough to add value. What does that say about his own decision making and credibility that his own choices are not viewed as fit for the room even by him. Yet they play this as just a reasonable development where positive framing can be found.
