Drill Baby Drill...the US Politics Thread (Part 3)

From a security perspective, it is far easier to bring people to the president where he is than bring the president to people. The issue is a normal president does only a handful of these sorts of event in a year. Trump expects to be able to do them every weekend because he doesnt understand what the actual job entails nor does he care.

So the argument does make a little bit of a sense, but the reason no one has argued for it before Trump is no else viewed the presidency as being this sort of social role where the question was even a relevant one.

But…just a thought… The ballroom is set to be completed after Trump is out of office, so what is this really about?

I just found this, of course it’s only fiction…

ā€œTrump needs his ballroom, it’s being built as an impenetrable fortress above the bunker. It’s where he & his loyalists will make their last stand if he’s removed from office. While Civil War rages outside the WH he & his staff will be armed to the teeth & Trump won’t surrender.ā€

Many very strange stories are circulating at the moment.

Thankfully, nobody is talking about the Iran war, drunk FBI directors, the Epstein files, or any school shootings etc right now.

:smiling_face_with_sunglasses:They say these are pictures from after the incident, which would be strange. Some people claim they’re from before. I’m starting to get confused myself. It’s hard to imagine what’s going on.

This is a little bit bizarre imo

Please ignore the headline, there’s a lot of room for speculation, but… still, interesting pictures from the corridor in front of the hall. That’s why I’m posting this.

But why was security bad? Is that not the more pressing question? The political lobbying is, meh, but this should never have been allowed to happen in the first place.

Was it? The individual didn’t get anywhere near the ballroom. The only thing you might wonder is why any other hotel guests were allowed to bring firearms into the hotel, but they seem to be rather keen on that second amendment thing.

Threats to the US President aren’t that rare. That’s why they have that whole Secret Service in the first place.

Today has been another fine day of ā€œwhen Clinton and Obama were elected I didnt call them fascist, I just got on with my day. Its very damaging for our country that the left cannot do the same.ā€ style mindless posting.

They would do themselves a massive favour if they at least left the ballroom talk to a day or two later.
