With a hazmat suit on?

It appears some of his clothes were removed as part of him being tackled and detained. He was otherwise moving through the common areas of the hotel like a normal resident and it wasn’t until he got close enough the security perimeter of the controlled area that he took off running.

This all appears perfectly typical security set up at a hotel like this hosting a high profile event in a segregated, cordoned off portion of the hotel. I worked at a hotel like this in the period between finishing undergrad and going to grad school. It was the standard stop for any politician doing an event in St Louis and you generally wouldn’t have even known there was anything like that happening when walking through the common areas of the hotel.

De Santis has been pushing for his own redistricting project in Florida. HIs preferred map would net the GOP an expected 4 additional seats in the house. His rationale is Florida got screwed in the post-census reapportionment so this is righting that wrong. Which is an insane argument because even without having to consider the bullshit of Florida getting screwed, apportionment determines how many seats a state gets not the partisan boundaries of districts within the state. Its an argument just totally disconnected from the proposed solution.

ICE is such a cold word, so easy to hate them. But it’s going to be way harder now when they change the name to NICE !

VirgĂnia at least put it to a referendum.

Its not just illegal in Florida to do this, but unconstitutional. Ron doesnt care though. He does these stupid legal flourishes that cannot win in court but gives him “hes a fighter” headlines on Fox while costing the tax payer tens of millions in legal fees that for cases he outsources to connected law firms who helped get him into office. Its sick
