I have to slightly disagree. A 5y.o is trained enough to not have to wear nappies.
Regarding the US/Japan trade deal, my take (ignorantly) is that it likely not good long term and definitely not a good geopolitically. My ignorant take is it Japan cannot refuse the short term “win” and as a biproduct, it squeezes the other Asian countries which, in the long term is playing to other stakeholders hands.
This is a really good conversation.
Strict Scrutiny is a podcast that can be difficult to stick with because ultimately it is really in the weeds about court matters, but as guests on other people’s show to talk in normal persons language about what the court is doing, they are top notch
The CECOT stuff with El Salvador was done, we were told, because we had to remove dangerous criminals. Due process violations and people with legal status getting caught up in all this was just a price we had to pay for public safety. Ignoring the evidence they had against the people, including that in one high profile case they only had a clearly fabricated criminal argument they put together after the fact…look at who he is now repatriating as part of a prisoner swap with Venezuela (part of a broader transfer with El Salvador)
Great insight into what is actually happening with immigration under Trump 2

The only people who voted for this are those who agree with people like Miller, who think “illegal” has no basis in the rule of law but is a term we just get to apply to as many people as we need to for a white society to be restored.
I think a lot of people assumed that the WSJ’s Epstein borthday greeting story was not all they had. Today they are reporting that the DOJ has communicated to Trump that his name is in the Epstein files and that Kash has shared this with several people
JFK’s only grandson Jack Schlossberg incinerates Republicans for trying to rename the prestigious Kennedy Center’s Opera House after First Lady Melania Trump, says that Trump is “obsessed with being bigger than JFK.”
He refuses to stand by as MAGA tarnishes his family’s legacy…
"A nation reveals itself not only by the men it produces — but also by the men it honors, the men it remembers,” Schlossberg wrote on Instagram, quoting his late grandfather.
“JFK believed the arts made our country great and could be our most effective weapon in the fight for civil rights and against authoritarian governments around the world,” he continued.
“He took political heat for it at the time — for inviting black artists to the White House, like the Staples Singers. For supporting black Americans like Harry Belafonte and James Baldwin on global tours to showcase the best of our society,” he went on.
“Pablo Cassals, a symbol of resistance to fascism, played for President Kennedy. Yo-yo Ma did too… when he was just 6 years old. Robert Frost performed at JFK’s inaugural. The Mona Lisa came and visited the WH,” wrote Schlossberg.
“The Trump Administration stands for freedom of oppression, not expression. He uses his awesome powers to suppress free expression and instill fear. But this isn’t about the arts.”
“Trump is obsessed with being bigger than JFK, with minimizing the many heroes of our past, as if that elevates him. It doesn’t,” he added."
“But there’s hope — art lasts forever, and no one can change what JFK and our shared history stands for,” he concluded.
Yesterday, Republicans on the House Appropriations Committee shamelessly approved an amendment to the interior, environment, and related agencies annual spending bill that would mutilate the reputation of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts’ opera house by changing its name to the "First Lady Melania Trump Opera House.”
The effort is a blatant attempt on the part of Republican politicians to pander to the MAGA cult leader. It’s especially pathetic given the fact that Melania has not a single real accomplishment to her name. History will remember her as the cowardly woman who enabled her husband’s fascism by remaining silent as his anti-democratic abuses escalated.
EDIT - :0)
WASHINGTON—Millions of Americans support renaming the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts after the writer E. Jean Carroll, according to a poll released on Wednesday.
Conversely, poll respondents opposed naming the venue after First Lady Melania Trump, strongly agreeing with the statement, “An arts center should not be named after someone who finds blood-red Christmas trees aesthetically pleasing.”
At the White House, press secretary Karoline Leavitt defended the decision to rename the Kennedy Center after Mrs. Trump, stating, “Since President Trump took it over, the Kennedy Center has been just like the First Lady: renovated and vacant.”
Under Robert Garcia’s leadership, Democrats forced a subpoena of the Epstein files.
Thanks to their work, Pam Bondi MUST release the files to
Congress.
‘Political prisoners’ in MAGA speak means anyone who supports them; not prisoners encarcerated for their political actions. So you can be a serial killer or rapist and these Republican deplorables will call you a ‘political prisoner’ who should be freed while you could be a brown skinned person or democrat voter without even a parking ticket and be treated like a terrorist after 2001.
The republican party, and all the deplorables who vote for it, are a cancer on democracy and must be removed.

If you are thinking that it almost looks like Magnus is enjoying this a bit, well yes, I am thank you very much.

From 2010. It is fascinating that he was asked such a question in 2010, long before Donald went into politics. Why, one wonders, was this question asked. Could be nothing. Someone, somewhere, clearly suspected something, but of course, hardly evidence that there is anything but some suspicion of indeceny, which clearly could not be proved at the time of that video. BUT EVEN SO, isn’t it a bit interesting considering the long Epstein saga and how popular the Democrats are pedohiles takes are among MAGA ?
Maybe you think differently. But maybe you agree that it is fascinating and peculiar.
Over 600 of his Jan 6th pardons were for people convicted of assaulting police. But blanket pardons for the lot because they’re “political prisoners.”
Yeah their issue the cops that day was because the rioters…sorry, protesters…disagreed that the workers should not own the means of production and the cops arrested them
A 5 year old has more sense than any of Trump and his syncophants.
Us based reds, what is this about?
It doesn’t give much information other than suspected Medicare fraud.
Medicare is complicated and while some element of the services are managed by the service provider directly billing the government, but some elements are managed with private insurers acting as middle men and getting reimbursed by CMS. They don’t get directly reimbursed for services though but more based on characteristics of the patient pool. But what is being accused here specifically is not clear from that reporting.
Wasnt this mentioned by someone questioning RFK jnr in Congress? Sorry I cant remember her name but he knew nothing of it conveniently.
