The connection isnt obvious because of how stupidly complex our healthcare system is, but this is an enormous step towards killing the ACA (Obamacare)

https://x.com/l_e_whyte/status/1948851007204548652

One of the big drivers of overall health spending was people putting off preventive care because of the out of pocket expense, ultimately resulting in pretty much everyone needing much more expensive care down the road.. The ACA thought if we could make preventive care free at the point of service people would obtain it, health metrics would improve and we’d cut down on the number of expensive cases the system is required to respond to. So the ACA mandated that and it has worked. This body was the one responsible for identifying what the collection of covered procedures and services were and its not clear how this ACA provision would work without them.

To be fair, they are pretty easily distracted.

Still funny he used that meme picture of Vance. It is safe to say, Vance does not adore it exactly.

Democrats hit all-time lows in polling

The Democratic Party’s image has eroded to its lowest point in more than three decades, according to a new Wall Street Journal poll, with voters seeing Republicans as better at handling most issues that decide elections.

The new survey finds that 63% of voters hold an unfavorable view of the Democratic Party—the highest share in Journal polls dating to 1990 and 30 percentage points higher than the 33% who hold a favorable view. …

“The Democratic brand is so bad that they don’t have the credibility to be a critic of Trump or the Republican Party,” said John Anzalone, a Democratic pollster who worked on the Journal survey with Republican Tony Fabrizio. “Until they reconnect with real voters and working people on who they’re for and what their economic message is, they’re going to have problems.”

Obviously a whole bunch of different rules apply in that country!

Meanwhile, Republicans protect their paedophile. He’s a monster, no doubt about it.

But yes, the Dems have work to do to get a leader and a platform sorted out, so voters have a clear choice,

Democrats are absolutely clueless about the hypocrisy they peddle that is glaringly obvious to everyone outside of their media bubble

And your thoughts on the orange paedophile?

Is that the sort of leader you want to follow?

And for everyone who wants to post “But but but Trump!” Yeah, I completely agree. That’s how bad the left has become. The general population of would rather side with Trump than with the left.

And the left demonstrates absolutely zero self awareness about how bad they’ve become

I have posted many times in this thread that I do not support Trump, and I have not nor would I ever vote for Trump.

But that’s how bad the left has become. Their obsession with identity politics that most Americans don’t agree with has relegated them to the trash heap of irrelevance except outside of a couple dozen cities.

The cluelessness and lack of self awareness of the left is staggering

I don’t know how stupid one has to be to think there is some sort of hypocrisy with having private security at a private event in third world country and being opposed to a paramilitary extrajudicial law enforcement agency…but I’ve read the thread so I’ve got a idea

So let’s look at what he has said about policing

Fraternal Order of Police National Vice President Joe Gamaldi told Fox News Digital that Mamdani’s past rhetoric is emblematic of a dangerously radical ideology.

“Anyone who still supports defunding the police is completely insane,” Gamaldi said. “Especially after seeing the horrific consequences on our urban communities. It brought on rampant crime and disorder, historic murder rates in over a dozen cities and destroyed the quality of life for millions.”

That the multi-millionaire cosplaying trust-fund leftist can afford private security while saying we need to defund the police that affects working class neighborhoods is EXACTLY why the hypocritical left continues to lose support amongst working class voters but appeals to cloistered virtue-signaling uber-educated Upper East Side progressives who are sheltered from crime that now represent the Democratic Party.

The working class in the outer boroughs voted against Mamdani. I guess they should have gone to Ivy League schools to earn post-grad degrees in sociology or “colonialism” or something, and then land jobs as activists funded by NGOs. Then they’d understand what was really good for them.

“Hey, working class people. If only your parents were very successful multi-millionaires, you could afford private security. Otherwise, we’re cutting policing in your neighborhoods. But hey, we here in the safe Upper East Side are with you brothers! Now I’m off to get my soy latte.”

You are astonishing in your stupidity. Arguing the police are corrupted and need massive reform is entirely consistent with condemning ice and their current behavior. Having private security for a private event in a different country is completely unrelated to any of that.

And as for an objective assessment of his take in NYPD…Eric Adams and Bernie kerick pretty ,ugh make his point for him.

And to be clear it’s not your opinions that are bad, but your arguments. It is nothing but non sequitur after non sequitur

“Defund the police” is not a slogan about corruption.

If you believe that, you’re part of the problem why the American left continues to fade into irrelevance.
