We might as well go full strength. It’s pointless resting anyone when they’re all going to be run into the ground during the international fucking break.
I both want us to make wholesale changes and still think we can get something from this game. Mostly because there are a few players who need minutes to build rhythm and match sharpness.
If we pick up injuries or have players come back fatigued from the international break, I’d rather the squad players being called upon have at least one competitive match under their belts before being thrown straight into a Premier League or Champions League game.
I want us to compete for every trophy, but the EFL Cup is the one competition where part of the charm is relying on your kids and squad players to help get you through the early rounds. We have to rotate at some point, and I’d much rather do it here than in any of the other three competitions.

If Gomez isn’t ready to start, then Endo in there instead.
Is it full strength? No. But it’s still a team that should be capable of giving Spurs a game and get some important minutes for Danns, Nyoni, Gomez, Chambers, Koumas and Ngumoha.
You know some things need to change when while talking about a League Cup game, we talk about almost everything else more than actually winning (the game and competition).
Who knows if we’ll ever get there, but there should be one domestic cup competition.

I’ve seen reports that Spurs are likely to play a second fiddle team as well. Is this done on a sort of gentleman’s agreement, or do they just anticipate what each other will be doing?
Spurs going to change all 11 starters sadly richarlison will be playing so definitely change most of the starting 11, we need plenty of energy for weekend game.
