He had the run of the left side any time he wanted to. Set up the first goal and almost won a penalty and probably shouldā€™ve gotten his opposing fullback sent off because that dude definitely deserved more than one yellow.

Definitely not rubbish last night. In the face of some nasty fouls.

Even Keane was praising him.

I hope in the actual WC the refs are properly strict. The first half was full of malice.

I get the idea of being physical with better opponents to fill the skills gap but there is a limit. The only reason they werenā€™t fouling in the second half was that they were knackered.
