Hjulmand needs to consider substitutes now. England have players trained to a greater physical level with more stamina. New guys are needed for extra time to hold out until penalties (or better, win on a counter).

Ah, did hjulmand use everyone already ? I noticed they had injuries but didn’t consider that they were used up. If so, good for England. Their better stamina may herald goals to come in extra time or at the death of normative time.

Have to say, Shaw has looked quite good in this tournament. I never thought he would return to that level after that nasty leg break.

Luke Shaw takes a lot of shit from Liverpool supporters (and also his own, a lot of United fans don’t like him), but imo one of the better and more reliable England players.
Danes have definitely transitioned to a target man system, which makes sense considering how much pressure they have been under.

I’m at a loss to understand how that incident with Kane was not a penalty. Where is the supposed infringement from Kane? What I saw was Kane running for the ball and the Danish lad reach across him and trip him.
Have another look Kane caught the Dane and fell over.
