The mercenary, Sterling, looks unplayable .Pleased to see England win but there are one or two players I just dislike so much. Pickford for one. So sad to think he could be picking up a Euro champs medal.

Don’t think the own goal was lucky at all. If it hadn’t hit Kaejer it was an easy tap in for Sterling that even he couldn’t miss.
England were far superior in every department. Great hit for the free kick but really bad goalkeeping, a couple of half chances. England had the lion’s share of the play and far better opportunities.

Anyone watching it last night who didn’t think it was a foul on Sterling (and therefore a penalty) could you please stop watching football on a potato. Despite what they may have told you in the shop, it doesn’t provide a crisper image. Thanks.

It’s really nice to see Maria celebrating instead of fuming. So happy for the England supporters here. This is probably the first bit of good fortune they have since the pandemic struck.

He’s already leaning forward, he is going down before there is contact. I suspect that most neutrals will feel the same way too. England deserved to progress because they were the better team but that was a very generous decision.
On another note, when did England fans turn into us Balkan neanderthals and started booing national anthems? Not a good look.

This clear and obvious error by the ref needs to go, was it a penalty or not instead of protecting the refs, how many times last season have utd benefited from this silly rule.
Shouldn’t have been a penalty (in the traditions of football) as there was insufficient contact for that to happen. However there was sufficient contact for a penalty under today’s interpretation of the rules. Stone cold all day long and much lighter ones are regularly given.
Well done England. Solid performance against our best organised and hardest working opposition so far. Good training session for Sunday. Pretty sure GS is just trying to wind JG up to unleash him on Italy

Thought both teams played well.
Southgate is very good with his subs. Denmark blew all theirs early so we’re fucked in the 2nd half of ET when someone got injured.
There’s not much chat about Declan Rice on here however he’s been a Rock for England. I know he does look like a cart horse and yes he does the donkey work however he does it well he appears a lot faster than one might think, diciplined (unlike the rest (excluding Jordan Henderson of course) and orientes the game well (it’s what happens after he releases the ball that things go pear shaped).
Oh! shit I’ve noticed a player in this tournament and he’s English, how shameful. 
Edit: fuck me he’s just 22 and valued at 65 million.

I cannot believe the amount of twisting that England fans are doing to justify a dive. If that was Salah or Mané I would be thoroughly annoyed with them. Even the Kane one was more of a penalty. Keep deluding yourselves that there was contact though.
And that said, if Kane gets awarded that one against us, you’d all be fuming, let alone Sterling’s dive.

He is actually the sort of player I’d reckon is highly valuable in getting England anywhere in terms of success. Hardworking, not showy, but above all like you said, disciplined. I think England haven’t suffered too much from Henderson’s absence in large part because of him.

I’m not an England fan, I don’t really like the national team. And I think it was a penalty.

Yeah, I was hoping that Denmark would take more shots, don’t have to be the best shots just on target and with better power.
Fair enough, but to me that’s not a penalty because the defenders didn’t do anything to change his path of motion. Maybe it’s just something in the rules that I don’t know, but I would be flabbergasted if we ever got awarded that kind of penalty.
I have no favorite in this tournament since Portugal went out a few rounds back 
No problem for me if Italy wins or England.
