Stuttering telegraphs where u are going with the pen…u may as well go and tell the keeper.

Yep, you just typed it quicker.

Anyway, I hope England are sensible with this and that there will be no overreactions. This team can be built upon and they can go again in the World Cup. England now has a competitive National Team, that can if things go a bit right, go maybe all the way even in a WC (although a bit unlikely, but still this team is much closer than ever). It has been quite some time since that.

I’m not harsh he learnt nothing from world Cup semi when England scored early again. On both occasions he became incredibly negative and nervous. He didn’t react to what the opposition were doing which lead to equalisers then never did anything then to influence game for us to win. Waiting till last minute of extra time to bring on two attackers illustrates this.

He had a good tournament in general though.

But what’s Grealish done in his stints not a great deal.

Fair enough. I just think the team he has built is very solid. England is hard to score against and has goal threats. I do have to agree with the subs though. But I do like Gareth’s team. But maybe not his game management, yeah, got to admit that I too was thinking along the same lines.

I feel no joy at all after Italy’s win, but looking at Kane’s and Prickford’s faces right now is still entertaining… :joy:

Didn’t watch the whole thing, who bottled out?

Black players being racially abused on social media already . Disgusting.

I hope the boys that missed the pens will get all the help needed now and that they better close their social media accounts immediately. They will get a world of racial abuse etc.

Congratulations Italy. Conceding an early goal, then faced with a defensive block.

Well done England for the journey to the final. Can be proud of the performances.

Southgate, though some will say Saka

I was shatting it when Slabhead came up but showed it how it’s done.

England with 1 shot on target all game, which was the goal in the 3rd minute.

Grealish. Sterling too, but I wouldn’t want him taking a penalty anyway.

I find it amazing that a player as technically good as Grealish, Aston villa’s captain, didn’t take one ahead of a 19 year old. If he wanted to take it he’d have taken it. Definitely bottled it.

I fucking hate all the consoling the kid is getting with the camera focused on him. He is one of 3 to miss a penalty. I would be rightly pissed getting all the attention with the two others escaping it somewhat.

I thought EXACTLY the same thing.

Fuck me…he were big.

Rashford, Sancho and Sako missed their pens.

Southgate - after his idiotic comments In the friendly throwing Jordan under the bus, you just know he zealously micro managed the shoot out order.

Did well in creating a stable team, but reverted to his default safety first attitude in the final. That ten minutes before the inevitable equaliser was crying out for a sub.
