At least when they were tested. There is a day incubation time after you get infected where you will test negative as far as I know. Let us just hope for the best.

Is there a reason why the all these top players haven’t already been vaccinated? Some are opting out or they haven’t all had the opportunity? I know we saw the golfer Jon Rahm concede the lead in a golf tournament because of a positive test. I would think FAs would insist their players get the vaccine to avoid moments like this.

Vaccinated people can still carry and transmit coronavirus, although at a reduced level as far as I understand. The vaccines primary role is protecting from the symptoms of Covid-19, reducing the chances of hospitalisation.
Whether or not players are vaccinated, I would put that down as personal information and something we are unlikely to be privy to. But I’d suspect, given he’s just turned 20, he’s probably not been vaccinated. Whether professional athletes are being vaccinated would be interesting to know.

From what I know, teams that are vaccinated completely are Italy and Spain.

In the case of golf, the vaccinated players are exempt for the testing. I just had a look around but couldn’t find anything whether vaccinated footballers are exempted at the Euros. It seems they may not be, so it is possible that Gilmour was both vaccinated and tested positive. Agree it would be interesting to know but won’t help Scotland much.

With Gilmour he was probably offered the vaccine in the last couple of weeks and it takes 20 days for it to come up to speed or so i was told by the GP who did it.
