Hope Hendo gets a start today…he’d have never let England slack off in midfield like they did against Scotland. People who don’t know football are blind to all the quality and urgency and leadership he brings. Want to see what happens to a talented team without leadership? Look at England vs Scotland and what’s happening to the Spaniards. As Hansen said you’ll win nothing with kids but you might win something with kids plus a sprinkling of veteran leadership to drive them on.

Forgive me but I am really struggling to get behind the England team. The prospect of Jordan Pickford and Harry Kane getting winners medals makes me vomit.
I have a tenner on Italy to win it.

I want Henderson to win the Euros, England therefore winning it as a consequence is just meh to me.
Can’t stand Southgate and most of the team.
First and foremost I am a Liverpool supporter but in these times I watch internationals.
I have the same with the Dutch apart from the fact that some are rappers, would be’s or criminal (that alone is enough to turn off my TV) a large part is made up from Ajax/Amsterdam and I can’t stand the arrogance of the club and the city.
Luckily I have some Portuguese blood too so I cheer for Jota, Renato Sanches and Pepe, the old ‘idiot’ who is still going strong.
One thing you can guarantee with England is that they’ll shoot themselves in the foot, a catastrophic error,something for everyone else to laugh at.

The truth is, Henderson is simply not good enough to carry England. He is one or two tiers below Pirlo/Modric/Xavi/Iniesta/Alonso/Kroos/Schweisteiger/G8, especially on the offensive front.
It’s difficult to carry a big pile of sloppy shit tho, the only thing Henderson gets from playing for England is injured.

Instead of trying to compare him to randem names in past… is he better than Phillips or Rice? That’s the only relevant question.

He is better than them, but he is not good enough to carry the match, and most importantly Germany has at least 2 MFs better than him.
Henderson is good enough to carry a match, if the tactics are matched to his skill set. Same as the fancy players listed. Henderson also has attributes that some on the list don’t have. He’s certainly not got some of the attacking prowess, but that’s where England need to use the attacking prowess of Sancho, Foden, Kane, Rashford, Grealish etc to effect, and have Henderson in there doing his bit for the team.
