FA Cup 2021-22... Hope we are up for the cup this season...forlorn hope?

Yeovil or St Albans please. At Anfield.

D’oh! first 2 home teams picked out the hat. So that’s done and dusted.!

Shrewsbury at Anfield.

That’ll do Seaman, that’ll do.

Perfect draw for Shrewsbury after missing out on some decent home gate receipts last year.

That is a pretty tasty fixture.

Hopefully the upward trend continues and Villa is firing on all cylinders.

I had completely forgotten about that match!

Call me selfish, I would very much love this trophy this season.

Can’t believe they mixed up our ball with Cities.

So we play Chelsea away Sunday January 2nd (hopefully Mo and Sadio will be allowed to play)

Next League game is january 15th at Anfield vs Brentford.

Between that we have the :crossed_fingers:t4:Winter Break:v:t4: but the FA Cup will be during that time.

The winter break is at the end of January from the 24th to the 4th of Feb.

Draw could be an issue if we get through in the league cup as they are of the week of the 3rd and 10th

Thanks for the info.

If we reach the LC semi final and get drawn with Chelsea it would mean we play them three times in the first two weeks of 2022.

Didn’t know, thanks.

Call me old fashioned or whatever,I grew up with the FA Cup being the big one and it was till comparatively recently.
I suppose the interest has waned a lot,but still quite keen on it.
Over here it was a club night and a lot of kids slept at the club.
All gone now,sadly.

They should scrap the stupid replay. Anyway, I’m really hyped with the domestic Cups this season. We have good depth and unless we experience calamitous injury crisis, we will be able to field strong enough team to win the Cups.

I used to sit in front of the telly on Cup Final day. It didn’t matter who was playing, it was just the biggest day of the season.

Back in 1986 we had a program on FA Cup on TV, The Road to Wembley. This is the program that introduced me to Liverpool and the rest is history.
