FA Cup 2023-24..Well I still love it

There are 32 games. I’m assuming that an “interesting” tie will be an all premier-league tie or a big club against one of the minnows. It’s statistically quite tricky to engineer a completely boring draw.

Oh come on. How many people would have to be in on that including the celebrity that makes the draw…

Point being, claims of draw fixing and how it would be possible, have been doing the rounds for an age

Can’t control draws, so I’m always relaxed and excited to see who we get.

It’s actually a part of the FA Cup I love. You can get anyone, any time, anywhere.

Especially with the amount of filters in other, European competitions. It’s refreshing to have a competition where we’re all in the same pot, it’s done quickly, cut the nonsense and let’s play football.

Of course, Arsenal away is a very tough draw, but we’ll give it our best go in that context of time and let’s see.

Have they announced the televised fixtures yet? I’m assuming we will be one of them. For many fans it’s a rare opportunity to see their club on free-to-air TV.

Does the next round have replays, extra time or go straight to penalty shootout?

Replays and then that’s ET and Pens

Last thing we need is a replay against Arsenal. Guess that goes for Arsenal too

5 days between our games against Newcastle and this one so I expect Klopp to go very strong in this one too.

That includes Alisson, Trent, Virgil, Gomez, Alexis (hopefully available because Endo won’t be), Dom and Salah.

However it’s three days before Fulham. So that will play on his mind.

Klopp won’t be silly anyhow. He knows where these players are and what he may have available. Massive boost to see Diaz wasn’t serious and Jota back and with a goal.

Have no problem with playing a somewhat ‘less’ team against Arsenal. Go for winning the League cup, the European Cup and the PL, that will be enough for me … :sunglasses:

Nah, hope we take it as seriously as possible in that time (even if we do make a few changes).

It’s not only an FA Cup match, but also against a current direct rival in the league. Difficult as it’s away and shortly after we played each other. Mentally important not to “gift” them anything.

This round starts tonight and finishes on Monday. Has this always be like that?

No they were all played on a Saturday at 3.00pm. I wish we could go back to that.

Come on Palace, pile the misery on those blue shitebags.

Would actually be more ‘fun’ if many PL teams would have to play a replay.

That’d be a harsh red for DCL tbh.

Astonishing how bad these referees are at using VAR. Ridiculous red card.

Also why did Clyne need treatment? He barely flicked the edge of his shinpad. Fuck off Nat you cheat.

No intent but Kavanagh hates scousers blue and red
