Fabinho (DM) to Al-Ittihad

Is that his modem speed?

Cue outrage that FSG had reduced the wage bill.

Where’s the wage savings money John ?

Would think our wage bill has probably been cut by 500K a week atleast anyways which is a good thing.

Always fond of us being the underdog and having multiple teams spending more on salary than us

Considering contracts are for 5 years generally and the transfer fees are staggered as well.

Let’s say it’s 740k shaved off the wage bill , what does liverpool have to spend additionally over the next five years 192,400,000. You can remove the installments for the payment for Mac / Dom (I believe there are low interest loans that we’ve taken to cover the buy out clauses that we pay in a revised schedule) there but even then it’s upwards of 140m that we can potentially spend just on the cases of outgoing transfers. And it’s not the case that Liverpool doesn’t generate any other money to afford new transfers etc.

That need not be only for transfers , It can be for wage increases , new contracts etc as well. But let’s say people want a defender apart from Lavia and another CM , Can it be done this season ? , The math is given. We can (Purely out of the wages saved over 5 years)

We’re down to Europa League levels.

Cut a good part the squad and start from scratch.

:sunglasses: :joy:

Lots of our contracts were also heavily weighted toward bonuses for success. So on that basis alone, not that we want to save money for underperforming, but there will have been a lot of savings in wages even without factoring in players coming and going.

Player movement alone will see us at least half a million a week better off on wages so far, perhaps more.

In other words, room for more business to be done, after Lavia.

I’m watching Thiago as there were rumours of Barcelona. If he is going we absolutely need a solid veteran to help shore it up, and hopefully a very good central defender too.

People who have money don’t like spending it and like to have more of it.

Certainly my wxperience

Hopefully , we get someone like Barella. He won’t be a Thiago replacement but he’ll offer something different

Where’s the underperforming money John?

Think this will go through very quick from now on. As Saudi teams are new to the European Market think we are examining each and every thing more carefully and also we might ask more money upfront.

Why do they keep posting him in that old Liverpool shirt?

The photo itself is from a recent retro range the club released for sale - note the reebok logo is missing. There were a few released and a few players in the shoot.

It’s an odd choice of photo they keep using given the Carlsburg sponsorship.
