Klopp’s team will probably decide how to play him. I thought Elliot would be a backup for Salah. He’s instead being used as a midfielder.

Not sure, depends what the plan is with Carvalho. He looks like he could primarily be an 8 for us, but I don’t know. He seems to have a skillset that could make him useful in several positions, like a Bernardo/Foden type.

Considering the age of many of our midfielders, as well as the strong possibility of Ox leaving, I think we could see a few personnel changes there over the next three windows. So I don’t think Carvalho closes the door for Bellingham.

On the surface of it, the timeline should fit with him leaving Dortmund - assuming it’s possible after next season. Then we can hope it won’t be a Haaland situation with crazy money.

Yeah, I think we’ll use Carvalho similarly to how we’ve used AOC lately. He’ll take his spot in the squad and AOC will likely be allowed to leave.
