Fabio "FABINHO" TAVARES: 2022/23

if Trent cannot defend at RB, how is he going to manage at CM? that’s a terrible idea.

his ball-watching on Welbeck’s goal is shameful

To be melted down or to work there?

He’s so bad I’d want Morton or even Clarkson to be recalled and take those minutes.

He can’t even play 5 minutes.

Can he be more over the hill than he is now.

I suppose he could boot the ball in our net.

If he wants the season off I’d give him it, see if he can re-energise himself if he can’t then he can leave.

Milner is 8 years older and you couldn’t tell it.

When he first started getting attention at Monaco I wasnt sold on him because he seemed too old. I was shocked to find he was only 21 and at that point he started seeming like an exciting prospect I didnt want Utd to get (that was the primary link back then). The more I watch him the more I think it’s plausible that the 19 year old who first went to monaco on loan was actually 25 at the time.

Back then, he had a skinny frame and could cover lots of ground. Now it looks like he is carrying more weight that is affecting his mobilty.

I saw a twit on Twitter the other week referring to him as a iron board with legs,:grinning: he’s as stiff as one for sure.

I remember Riise’s final season at Liverpool and how his levels dropped, capped by an own goal when we played Chelsea at Anfield in CL. I was disappointed and a bit saddened by his fall from grace but it had nothing on what Fabinho is showing this season.

I have to check it but if Mendes is his agent, then we probably have a hope of selling him for a decent amount at the end of this season. He’s just not good and dynamic enough for football Klopp wants his team to play.

Lucas could not cope with tempo any longer but had 5 success years in Italy, hope that goes for Fabinho too. :+1:

Needs to be put out to grass, it’s what we do with old horses when past it.

Those rumours have dogged him for years. I think they are probably nonsense, but he is certainly playing like a 37 year old right now.

He still seems active off the field :see_no_evil:

Rigor Mortis has set in I think.

I’ve been 1 of Fab’s biggest fans over the years, so it’s painful to see this rapid decline despite however hard is it to comprehend how.

I do like the fella he has done well for us but all things come to an end and where I think Henderson having a rest and then coming back as Milner has been used is good (no more than once a week). We can only keep one and Hendo still seems to have something and is home grown.

Fabinho would be far better suited to some leagues abroad.

We’re bringing in two new midfielders maximum in the summer and surely won’t let four (Milner, Keita, Ox and Fabinho) go.

Tough times ahead for all the internet managers.

Millie is used also at full back, Ox is used more in forward areas these days. I see us bringing a maximum of two new in. Keita and Ox leaving, Carvalho (also regarded more of a forward for now) very possibly out on loan. It will also depend on what we even qualify for this season, what’s up with Ramsay and how we judge him, what are the players’ wishes as well. I’m sure not even Klopp at the moment knows the exact number/first team squad for next season.

I’ve been giving him the benefit of the doubt all season, form is temporary class is permanent sort of thing.

That today though was appalling. I actually think he wanted to be sent off after the tackle going on his mannerisms.
He’s got 4 months left to convince he’s still got a role here.

You’ve also got to factor that Bajectic will now probably be involved in the first team. Can’t see him going out on loan next season. I don’t think Carvalho will go out on loan eithier.

The clubs sort of over stocked on the same type of CM and they are injured or simply ageing badly.

Also without CL football the squad won’t have to be as big and if they were to make EL then that just offers more opportunity for mixed squads.

They need 6 they can rely on, at the moment at a push I can see 4.

You could also look at Morton.
