And he won it from the bench…:tada:

I would really be interested to know what Slot thinks about this!? :upside_down_face:

We can hear them crying in Turin,

Federico, he’s here to win,

One chat with Arne Slot and he said ciao,

F**k off Azzurri, I’m a Kopite now!”

Why would Italy want to pick a player who hardly ever gets on a football pitch…are they really that short of talent..

Or
Thay see him as an underused talent?

Yes, they are. I mean, it’s not like he’s not playing at all this season. Playing for Italy would actually help him even more, to get more minutes. Who knows what the real reasons are though.

Maybe he doesn’t want to risk injury and lose his place in our first team… oh, wait…

When you put it like that, then he risks injury every time he puts his foot on the gras…

He’s available and obviously wanting to get more game time. Looks generally a bit sharper this season than last season. If it’s one international break (him telling Gattuso to give him a bit of time), I get it. If it’s more, then maybe we don’t know the full story behind the scenes.

It’s a WC year and Italy are battling to get qualified. I find it weird that he’s not there now, at least in the squad, getting some minutes. I think it would help everyone. Better that than training on his own or with whatever’s left of youth at Kirkby. It’s not like he’s just back from injury and first needs recovery.

Or maybe I’m underrating some of the less known players in his positions in Italy. But from the latest reports, Gattuso did want him there.

Yeah, I was being a little sarcastic.
It does seem strange though. As you say, the manager wants him there and I understand that he’s still well-regarded generally amongst the Italian supporters etc.

Maybe to do with personalities?

Maybe his mindset is if he gets injured giving his all for LFC, then there will be forgiveness from the fans… However, if he gets injured on International duty, the fans will be less forgiving.!
He is well and truly first with his shoulder pushing behind the Anfield train, and I commend him for that… If only MacAllister had done the same when he was struggling for fitness and form recently eh

If I’m Chiesa, I’m forcing a move in Jan. He’s a smart lad and I’m sure the thought has crossed his mind, but he must know by now there’s nothing he can do to change Arne’s perception, once you’re out (his plans), you’re out…or in Chiesa’s case, never in.
