Seems low risk at the price. His injury record is a worry.

Depends upon the wages.
The initial fee is a bargain compared to the £70m-odd that was being quoted after the last Euros.
Hopefully one of those that includes significant performace related payments and a lower weekly wage.
Hes reportedly on around 150kpw now.

This could be an astute signing, particularly with the 8 CL group games (which should suit him down to the ground with his experience), with the obvious caveat “if he can stay fit”.

2 hours ago I was very underwhelmed. Ive now argued twice his injury record isnt as bad as is being made out (one big one that took him a long time to recover from and maybe lowered his top level athleticism, but otherwise has been fine) and now Im like

His dad was a famous striker in the 90s-00s and so I think that gave him name recognition at the beginning of his career long before he’d himself really done anything to justify anyone knowing who he was.

Not sure what to make.of this. Around the time Italy won the Euros there would have been a few fans frothing at the thought of him joining us and many felt he was the perfect Klopp player.
Sort of feels like an Arthur type signing, but certainly hope it works out well if he’s signed. Also seems like he woulf fit the ‘opportunistic’ type of signing rtaher than a long-term target. Let’s hope he’s a perfect Arne signing.
