Cool, at least we learned our lessons from the blow back of fucking up the football calendar for 4 years to give a tournament to a autocratic state with massive human rights problems.

As they proved with the women’s world cup which was a vast improvement over that farce in Qatar.
Also, they could have a winter WC without messing up the domestic leagues.

But it would take 3 weeks to get there and half the players would die from spider bites and Kangaroo attacks.
May as well play the tournament on the moon as in Aus
They have jet liners that go there these days. Much faster.

The biggest issue for Aus holding a WC is the lack of football stadiums. The main stadiums that will be used will be multi-purpose and during winter are used by the AFL and NRL. It will take a huge amount of work to get both of them to agree to releasing the stadiums for a WC.

And the spiders.
I’d say the biggest practical issue is the time zone which means games will be on at awkward times for the European market.
The main reason that Oz won’t get it is that they don’t have bribe FIFA enough.

They all do, but none are football specific. All of them groundshare with either the afl or nrl which would mean getting both of them to agree to giving up their rights to said grounds for 6-8 weeks in the middle of their seasons
And its not even an international break so lack of decent football can’t be used as an acceptable defence
