Quick summary for English speakers:
- The deal is done. The total package, including bonuses, of around €150 million.
- The bonuses includes easily achievable things plus those based on sporting success. That includes Liverpool FC’s Champions League title.
- Wirtz is on holiday and will have the medical when he returns.
- It is a record transfer for both clubs.
Edit: I was going to pick up a copy of Kicker last night, but Edeka were completely sold out.

And was wondering with Wirtz whether Adidas don’t want to see him wear a Nike kit and whether that could be a reason for the delay. Nothing is going to stop Nike from putting Wirtz’s name on their outgoing 24-25 kit.

Not until after the first three pre season friendlies, so unless they’re gonna make him play in his pants and his vest, he’s gonna have to wear some Nike.

They don’t need to do the whole player unveil, I think it was Macallister a few years back that just had a formal statement on the site then as soon as the window opened they did the whole PR stuff.
I would expect that will be the case but doesn’t the window re-open next week anyhow so it’s not going be a massive issue.

Hang on… 2 weeks ago we were hearing how Bayern offered a greater wage…Now they couldn’t match the spending power of us?
Someone should get in touch with the Bayern hierarchy and make sure they are all singing to the same hymn sheet. Lest people might think the club is absolutely full of shit and they are just trying to save face, and hide the fact that they are a smaller club than us.
Btw, its just sad that Bayern themselves are the ones keeping themselves in the news cycle with this. Any other club would just identify that continually getting upset in public about a player you missed out on is pure bitterness and move on.

Perhaps its deflection from the news stories that Wirtz liked Arne’s vision better and was left underwhelmed by Kompany…this way they can paint him as just going for the money.

Fantastic to see it all but officially confirmed - I’d imagine we won’t see a lean etc until he returns from holiday, whenever that is, but it seems like it’s in the bag.
I guess we’ll hold off the official welcome thread until the club has done all its unveiling PR, so we’ll keep this open for now.
