In the premier league era, Ferguson’s united finished no lower than 3rd. That’s 20 consecutive seasons in the top 3. He was a bit shit in the 80s, to be sure, but that’s still great.
With that said, since we were last promoted to the top flight in 1963, we have finished in the top 8 every single season. That’s a matter of 62 seasons never finishing lower than 8th in the league, no matter who the manager was.
Point is, United are fucking shite.
