Some talk this morning a player going the other way could be involved in the deal, though those kind of rumours never seem to actually materialise.

Morton was linked there last year, and Quansah has been tentatively linked with a move to the Bundesliga. I’m sure a player like Doak would be of interest to them as well, but if any deal is to be done there I’m sure it would be separate from the Wirtz deal.

Agreed. Wirtz deal will be separate from anyone going back to Leverkusen. Once he is wrapped up, I’m sure we’ll be happy to talk about sending a player their way if it makes financial sense and the player is open to the move.

There should be no guarantees in football, but Lukas Hradecky is 36 and his contract expires next year. I can’t even think who their 2nd choice is. They will be looking for a replacement soon, and it would make sense to transition over the course of a season.
