Was thinking maybe we won’t make any signings official until the partnership with Adidas starts but surely we won’t wait until August 1st.
Then the question what will new signings wear when we make them official in the coming weeks?

Sure I read somewhere that Liverpool were working on an agreement with Nike to bring things to an end early.
Common sense hopefully prevails.

If the line is firm and we are ‘stuck’ with Nike for a little bit, after making signings, I’m sure we will manage the situation just fine. For example, we can announce the signings so it’s all official, then we can do the media when the Adidas deal kicks in. We could make quite a thing of it too, as by then presumably there will be several signings.
There’s a way around it, if Nike won’t play ball on moving the date.
And while I’m on it, it should inform all future kit deals. They should expire on the last day of the season, so any future signings and pre-season tours are all done with the new sponsor.

I imagine any player announcements will be on hold for a few days as the club learns more about the medical status of the victims of the parade incident. Wouldn’t be appropriate to celebrate major signings while supporters - especially young children - are dealing with major medical complications.
Assuming everyone ultimately recovers, it would be quite a gesture to have Wirtz/Frimpong/Kerkez join the players at the hospital as they visit with the victims.
