Whatever the actual final fee it was always going to be huge. He’s probably a top five player in the world under the age if 23 and attacking players always come at a premium.
There must be some strong confidence internally about potential outgoings with Wirtz, Frimpong and seemingly Kerkez being our preferred targets.
Still not sure what this means for a number 9 this summer or how that attacking set up will work with a very attacking 10 in the mix but it’s very exciting to see us stamping our mark on the window nice and early.
