Sorry that made me laugh…

“Yaya is no, any other ideas?”
Sarcastically “Kolo”
“Great idea ring him”

Is it coz they didn’t have a cake for him?

I’d love us to go back to the 1950 or 1955 one with a really plain kit.

We evidently have to copy our title winning kits it’s crazy we did so and won the title.

I love John Barnes

Quality player, top bloke (met him a couple of times) and, of course, the owner of a magnificent moustache.

Rest in peace, DJ.

He sits in an unfortunate period of time where there are true legends who bookend his time in the first team that it is easy to forget him. But he was a regular for a several year span of one of our most successful periods in history during which we won back to back titles and a european cup. There probably isnt another player in the post-war period who did more to contribute to major trophies who is remembered less.

Met him a couple of times as well and he was a gentleman. He scored a lot of good goals but my favourite memory is the pass he played to Steve Heighway in the build up to Terry Mac’s goal v Spurs. Remember watching that as a wee lad in 1978. Very good player in a brilliant team.
