Thought it was Alan Kennedy but looking at them they do look a like.
Yeah same crooked nose is what confuses the issueâŚ
As you can see, Alan Kennedy is in the middle wearing the blue coat
Ah so he is

Luis Suarez (controversial one I know) has to be mine just for that 2013/14 season. Best season by a premier player. 31 goals, 11 assists, missed 5 games and didnât take pens. Absolute worldies in there as well.
Felix
I donât think I have seen this since 2003 when it happened.
Robbie Fowler scoring against us for Man City in the 90th minutes, and I was kind of happy to see him celebrate the goal properly. If memory serves me correctly, he was still pretty annoyed about the way he was forced out of Liverpool.
I wasnât aware he was
âforced outâ
From Wiki.
Fowler maintains that Houllier forced him out of Liverpool, and accused Houllier of pressuring the Liverpool Echo newspaper to use its influence to turn opinion against him.
Yeah remember at the time that Gerard (and especially Phil Thompson) had a bust up with him at training and when Leeds came in with a big fee and he was already behind Owen and Heskey (13m? from memory) that was that.
Sepp:
"I had a few conversations with Slot⌠After the pre-season, Liverpool indicated that I had done so well that they wanted me to stay.
âI would be lying if I said that I did not dream of returning to Liverpool one day. That is still on my mind⌠who knows, if I do well here for two or three years, I will return to Liverpool and be a starter there too.â
In the second half of the summer, I thought there was a chance of Gomez going and vdBerg staying.
Ive heard that he threatened to drop Phil Thompson after training one day.
Itâs been a long time since I read it, but in his auto biography he claims Houllier (and maybe ThompsonâŚactually maybe primarily Thommo) were running a slander Op against him. He claims they were feeding the press made up stories about him being unprofessional, as they wanted rid and felt the needed the make the fans turn against him to give them the cover to do it. Where there were fights it was over that, which of course then fed into the narrative of a disruptive presence who needed to be moved on for the sake of the group.
I do remember reading it at the time and thinking âok, so itâs dirty for Thommo tip off a local snapper about where youd be on a tuesday night, but you still needed to be pissed for them to take the photo of you being pissedâ. I dont remember the details now but he seemed to reject that.
I was about 13 so thatâs probably why I donât remember it.
Any source for that?
I always wondered about that too, but I think heâs had sufficient minutes with Brentford so far this season that means heâs probably far better off with them than with us. Mind you, he would have been a great Gomez alternative, and would have been really useful right nowâŚ
While I canât say for sure whether Fowler was unprofessional or not I can say my Dad met him in Manchester at the dog races. Fowler was apparently shit-faced and, when my Dad asked him for a signature for me (I was 9) he signed it âTo Michael, Fuck Off, Robbie Fowler xâ
I thought it was hilarious but my Mum was furious and got rid of it, sheâs hated Fowler ever since
Anyway, this all took place the night before he played for Man City against Liverpool in the 03/04 season and he won a penalty (Anelka scored it) scored a last minute equalizer in a 2-2 draw.
From what I remember Houllier and Thompson wanted rid of Fowler and he knew it. I think this culminated in Robbie firing a ball straight at Thompsons face(his big nose, I think is what he said) although the assistant manager was behind the goal and protected by the net.
Although Robbie claimed it wasnât his intention to strike the ball to right there,Thompson flipped and it was decided that it was time for Robbie to go. They got their way and he was gone soon after.
I have a signed Robbie Fowler jersey, picked up at some charity fundraiser years ago. Framed and hanging on the wall in my basement. One of my prized possessions!
He was brilliant for a few seasons there. Shame injury got him, he was never the same. He came to the fore during a time when plenty of the players liked to enjoy themselves and have a drink. By todayâs standards it is unprofessional.
One of the best finishers Iâve ever seen. In another universe Shearer is a footnote in the Robbie Fowler era.
People have layers of their personalities. Iâm not one that fully agrees with the sentence ânever meet your heroesâ, but there is a little bit of something in it. Nobody is perfect at all moments. As for leaving Liverpool, itâs likely that it was a combination of factors. You can also sense, even to this day, Robbieâs confidence about him (as well as Michaelâs, itâs also something that made them who they are, very similar to Salah today). So itâs not hard to imagine how his ego coped with slowly falling down the pecking order. It doesnât even matter if heâs also your humble local legend outside the pitch a lot of the time. Being from Liverpool can also result in feeling like youâre entitled to some things. But it changed for him unfortunately. His injury or injuries. There was a new star rising and a suitable partner for him. Robbie himself said that he found it hard to be a backup option most of the time. At a club like Liverpool, there will always be new players. And a lot of them wonât be here as long as everyone thought or hoped.
Clean sheet and a win for Loris Karius at Schalke today. Saw the last 15 minutes and he made some great saves too. His last match was for Newcastle a year ago.
Is he better than Koris Karius?
