I have to say, why the hell does Gini want to leave this team, to go to Barcelona, a club in financial turmoil. I think it’s significant that he hasn’t signed a pre contract agreement with them yet.
Give your head a wobble Gini and sign the contract on offer

We must keep Gini… Insane levels! Player of the season so far for me.

Yeah, only signing I’m waiting for

Yeah-he’s clearly better than Gerrard.

(Not saying you said that, but according to his PPG)

Funny to think its a way people are using to rate an individual in a team sport. Wes Brown probably has higher points per game than Xabi Alonso.

Yeah, I read the other day Gerrard was offered a 1 year extension when Klopp came in and he turned it down, now regrets it! Unfortunately Stevie was either 10 years too early or late when it comes to the league.

Interesting to see the other players in that thread;

2.28 Trent (158 Apps)
2.27 Alisson (111)
2.25 VVD (130)
2.21 Robbo (156)
2.17 Mane (198)
2.13 Salah (182)
2.12 Matip (123)

What Klopp has achieved in the league is just ridiculous, it lends itself to this team is one of our best ever and Gini is a cornerstone of that team.

But he signed a contract with the LA Galaxy in January 2015; Klopp wasn’t appointed Liverpool manger until October 2015.

Ah must be timing, didn’t mention offered by Klopp, must have meant he would have got to play under him… Huge difference getting offered it under Rodgers haha, fair point.

Wonderful performance tonight. Didn’t bring balance, crap on the ball as usual. Let’s sign 2-3 more Gini’s, that will take us far.

He’s never been great on the ball for us but this season he’s been particularly bad in a number of games. City away was one. Atalanta away he got it robbed by Gomez a few times. Tonight was another.

If he’s not protecting it 19/20 times he gets it then it’s not really good enough because he doesn’t do anything progressive either. So poor tonight.

I thought he had another poor game tonight. He and Alcantara ball-watching for the first goal… Amateurish. That said, maybe it’s fatigue that’s got to all of them but on the account of past two months, he won’t be missed. So many factors but he was invisible in the past few weeks. Prior to this cursed period, I thought it was between him and Robertson for Liverpool’s best player this season but even the two of them aren’t immune to fatigue, who would have thought that…

What do you expect! He has played in almost all our games so far.

Yeah Gini is dog tired it’s why we need to bring one of the lads at the back back into midfield.

He’ll be rehabilitating in Barcelona, in a few months.

And who would blame him…how not to retain a world class player.

Quietly, he’s had loads of bad games this season. His availability and durability are great, but if you were to analyse the games individually on their own merits, he has not been very good at all.
