Is it 14 and a half?
Been watching but had it on mute.

US need 14.5 to win it, Europe need 14 to retain it.
Trump would claim itās robbed if they did that ![]()
Yep, 14 retains it. Would be nice to smash that. Letās see. Lots of golf to be played.
So Europe need a maximum of 3 of 12 tomorrow to win outright.
Donāt want to say its in the bag, but it looks good ![]()
Nah not in the bag at all but if you want to be anywhere youād want to be in Europeās position.
Tyrell Hatton is 3/3.
This is one of the most bonkers rounds youāll ever see. He had something like 10 one puts.

There was a period where Scottie and Bryson were playing lights out and rose was tracking them shot for shot like some country club Michael Myers.
One putting in matchplay kills your opponents mentality
This is really shocking. Even in the fevered atmosphere of the PL, I canāt imagine something like this happening.
This is not a great look but I would ask whether this is just the sign for the times. Iām not sure how to feel about it. On the one hand Iām donāt like to use or the use of foul language but on the other hand, should golf be immune to its reach in terms of supporters (or indeed the MC in this case) employing it?
Golf is one of those sports I liked playing (and watching) but I can leave it well be as it seems to be mainly the domain of the posh and in the US, the right seem to especially espouse it.
On a personal level it has been a strange journey regarding golf. I took it up as an occasional activity in Dundee back in the 90s - where you could play a 9-hole pitch and put course for a couple of pounds or a fairly respectable 18-hole course for about 15-20 pounds. The driving ranges were 5 or so pounds an hour. Relatively accessible for most. I recall watching one of the practice days of the Open at St. Andrews where a couple of mates and I got to see the late great Seve, Monty and Daly (for whom I made 5 quarter pounders for while working at the golden archesā¦) and a bunch of other former greats. The point of the ramble was that the atmosphere was great, relatively cheap and people form all walks of life and ages were there.
The mood seems to have shifted in general - beyond the Ryder cup too.
Can you imagine the Anfield stadium announcer leading a chant of āFuck you Man U!ā?
Much as I dislike them Iād be appalled.
Itās an American cultural thing. They just donāt do the communal banter thing very well that they Euro fans get by osmosis from football culture. What rowdiness they have in their team sports fandom is generally individualized and more related to randos just yelling rando shit. So that means in the Ryder cup when the window of acceptable behavior opens up their golf fans just donāt have much in their locker so almost immediately cross the line.
Itās not a new thing and there were at least two US hosted events before defined by crowd behavior (and that of the American players) that went way beyond creating a hostile atmosphere (Kiawa in 93 and Brookline I think was the other one I think in 2012)
Awful American deplorables. The country is fast becoming a redneck cesspit.
So the Hovland hole was halved⦠if they lost by half a point the man baby would be spitting splinters ![]()
Is it normal for the MC to lead chants of āFuck youā to opposing players?
This is showing the modern face of USA isnāt it
Donāt play golfā¦donāt understand golf..but have we won yetā¦donāt understand the points systemā¦suppose thatās shows a bit of sports ignoranceā¦
28 total points to play for, over three days.
Score is currently 12 v 5 for Europe. 14 points needed to retain the cup, 14.5 needed to win outright (a draw means the previous champion retains the cup).
11 matches out on the course, 1v1. Europe need to win two of them to retain the cup. Odds are massively in Europeās favor.
1 point for a win.
Half for a draw.
0 for a loss.
Keep having a quick lookā¦just smash the Yanksā¦just for the disgusting show of the crowdsā¦
