Guitars, Guitars and more toys that go with Guitars

I’m the other way. At the lower frets I’ve always struggled to rotate my wrist enough to get my hand square to the fretboard, not unless I pull the whole guitar over to the right beyond my right leg.

trust me to be different.

Lifting the neck up at an angle might help though.

So learning this.

Easy chords but (something else, always something new!) that I tend to have trouble with is getting the rhythm correct. Even though I’ve heard the song a million times when I go to play a song I cant get it right rhythm!

This is just a great rock track but the wildhearts (being covered by someone else.
Skip to 1m for song to start.

Here you go @Walshy07 silly trem again though

Oh I forgot to say…I bought the Jackson DK2M That I posted above a few days ago. Its Japanese made custom built. Should be here today or tomorrow. Has the Floyd Rose but what can you do!

Thats a nice guitar above though.

Sneaky

Cant find your post above on it either. Good luck with it.

Oh yes, in three weeks I get full eyes on. Someone as tried to relic it and fckd it up, so its being repainted some shade of army green, not sure if to have it that darker forest jeep green. But its an absolute bargain, these are going for £1200+ at the moment, and its a 94 Fuji Japanese, and its at £700 :flushed:

I like the relic look but to be honest in my mind it has to be earned I think.

It reminds me a bit of the rat rod scene. You have to extremely skilled to pull off a proper worn patina. If you cant it’s better to just try a Death Race type look.

Guitar arrived yesterday. As seller said it’s immaculate.
He said he bought it 5 years ago to and never really played it and it’s been in storage in a case.
So I thought it best to change strings, went and bought some and to my amazement the strings on the guitar are fine. Gave the fretboard a polish and tuned her up.
Plugged her in and she sounds fantastic.
Took it round my guitar tutors and he checked it all over and said it’s perfect and agreed the strings would be fine but I’m likely to find they will need changing after a month or so of heavy use.
So all good. I’ll post a few pics later on.

Great stuff.

My pedal board power supply also arrived a couple of days ago. Not as exciting but hopefully once set up everything will get a bit easier.

Decided that I need to learn some Muse for some completely bizarre and abstract reason.

I think that Euterpe would be the most appropriate choice.

I’d opt for Melpomene, given that Muse (the band) are shite.

Not sure how I havent smashed my guitar in two tonight . Trying to play the below. I can get most of it but the start sounds shite! The verses and chorus are fine.

Been playing just under a year and I’m wondering have I peaked and will I ever get better than I am.
I can play chords etc but the moment I try something like the above I constantly get stuck and want to give up.

Been using a metronome the last few days and been really pleased in my time keeping during songs but I just can’t get licks and fills. So frustrating.

Edit…amazing isn’t it. Watched this video 200 Times and I’ve missed something at the start and that’s why I’m struggling.
