Good point, thanks
Supposedly, their full back that won the ball and Harvey have built up a good understanding between them
The guy is 17 and seems to be doing a pretty good job at Blackburn, not sure what some are expecting here.
Why are you concerned! Everyone seems to appreciate his progress.
Plenty of posts about how non plussed Blackburn fans are and how he didnāt really do much when they watched him for 20 minutes and so on.
Link to some analysis- rather grandiosely called a āscout reportā- posted on a Blackburn fansā forum:
Nice for those of you who like pretty charts.
I feel next season will be really, really, crucial for the lad. If he continues his progression (and stays injury free), this lad will be something special.
Thing is to me he had all the stuff bar his shot was erratic (mind you thatās not uncommon with our first team) so even if he is putting them in from 5 yards thatās showing movement and precision to get at it.
Shame Blackburn arenāt likely to go up as he seems he has the right setting to develop.
Evidently I guess itās where he is and where we are
Sad thing is I feel like we could probably do with him ourselves right now, to freshen up our forward line a bit, and inject a bit of energy.
I think itās best to leave him be for now, he could be massively beneficial in the years to come.
Not the same playing for Blackburn in the Championship and playing for us. Leave him where he is, to complete a full season. Next summer weāll see. I wouldnāt say heās without any chance of being part of the squad for next season, but most probably not.
No doubt heās developing better at Rovers, but if you asked me, in our current situation, whether Iād prefer to see Elliott coming off the bench, or Origi (even Minamino), then Iāll say Harvey every time.
It feels like he has been 17 for several years now, seems like fake news.
Maybe heās got one of those dodgy African passports.
Harvey does at least look 17
He certainly has going forward uppermost in his mind. Looks like a player
Wonder what we will do with him next year. Will we get him a premier league loan or will he someone like Origis minutes instead? Like Curtis
I suspect we might find him ābetter loanā (or similar if we canāt find a better one). Weāll see who is interested and who thinks can give him game time.
Loan next year probably depends on Shaqiri. Elliot could probably step into that role next year, but not sure there will a lot of interest from other clubs to spend on shaqiri, so he still might be ahead of him next season, in which case another loan would make sense (I guess we could loan out shaq and keep Elliott as wellā¦)
Looks promising in clips. Lost a bit of the boyishness, he no longer looks like a child playing with men in the highlights.
