Harvey ELLIOTT: 2020/21 (on loan at Blackburn Rovers)

Has there been a decision returned today?

I read Fulham were seeking a record breaking fee ever set by a tribunal, of £10M.

Usually between the two values.

I saw 7m elsewhere so I’d expect at most 3-4m, probably paid incremental, might be good he didn’t stay and have a blinder of a season.

About right, they can whistle for 7m let alone the 10m they wanted.

Sounds reasonable.

We met about halfway, as expected.

Don’t get me started. These assessments would be ruled unlawful by a Court.

Great, now that it’s settled, we can move on to more important matters, making him a great player.

The loan spell is working nicely. Anyone a bit worried about the lack of goals? Though he is still very young, I would like to see him in our squad next season.

Liverpool Football Club can confirm the decision taken by the Professional Football Compensation Committee regarding the registration of Harvey Elliott.

The PFCC tribunal set a guaranteed compensation fee of £1.5 million, plus £2.8 million in contingent amounts dependent on player performance.

The club has given the following response: “Liverpool Football Club respects the outcome of the PFCC’s fair and thorough process in this matter.

“We would like to thank the panel for their time and diligence in reaching a decision.

“We now look forward to welcoming Harvey back from his loan spell with Blackburn Rovers in the summer and helping him continue to build towards a long and successful career at Anfield.”

Here I am making an effort to watch Harvey and those twats put him on the bench.

Thought Liverpool would send him to a club where SVB would be playing every game there than on the bench

Pep was interested until he found a loose 60mil down back of the sofa.

Liverpool desperately needed reinforcements at the back, they liked SVD to give them cover.

I think one thing we should do next season is leave a prominent role open for him. Ideally having about 15 top options for 10 out field positions is a good plan with a few squad options (veterans, promising kids, limited players) on top of that. Elliott for me needs one of those 15 roles. I’m not trying to get carried away I’m not saying he is that player at day 1 of next season. But he’s been really promising when he has played for us and to be performing as he is at Blackburn who aren’t even doing that well. I’m convinced that sooner or later he’ll be a big big big talent. He’s at that point Mbappe was before his big Monaco season, or Dembelle was before he exploded onto the scene, Sancho in his last year at City. If we sacrifice one of our squad roles for him we could end up with the next big thing within a 1-3 year period. But he needs significant game time, patience and responsibility at our level now to seize it. Going for a more streamlined, higher quality, smaller number of attacking players with him and Jones having prominent roles could see the same in attack as happened with Gomez and Alexander-Arnold in defence.

People have asked is he ready, hopefully the change about loans happening throughout the season allows us to see how it goes first month or so of next, the figures he is putting up in an average team shouldn’t be dismissed.
