There was a lad at my gym today who looked the spitting image of our Hugo.
But he was sporting a Chelsea shirt, so I wasn’t sure if he would receive it as a compliment, so I left it.
There were a couple of occasions yesterday afternoon when he just blazed past Brighton players. Left them for dead through sheer acceleration. The player that really came to mind was Torres.

The EU Super Cup is of more importance than the Charity Shield, so we can say they’re technically level, but since Ekitike unfortunately didn’t have the chance to do it in the EU Super Cup, Kenny is still slightly ahead.

I would imagine he is a hard player to play against as he has a lot of tools in his box, skillful, good touch, pace when he uses it and height.
Nightmare, especially when he gets a few seasons under his belt in the Prem league and his associated fitness improves.

yeah im trying not to get too carried away with this lad, but in a season where a lot of our football has been hard to watch alot of the times, he really has been a shining light.
that flick to Wirtz…i said to my daughter that could have been Bobby, it was just the type of thing that sparks a game of football, makes it worth watching…
what him and Wirtz are starting to build…

Funny thing is, both with the outside or tip of the boot, but when he had that chance for the hattrick, that’s when it made most sense to go with that technique and he forgot about it.
And Gerrard was so annoying tonight with the Torres comparisons, especially talking directly to him on live TV. Let him be.
Ekitike is Ekitike. Technically better than Torres. Not as good in the things Torres was among the best. Might get there, but ultimately they’re not really the same type of player.

I hope we find another song for Hugo…the one at the moment is ok…but we need something that ring round the ground…
Hope it’s not another about someone “running down the wing”.
I respectfully disagree. He does remind me of Torres with his pace, eye for goal, and the fear he creates in defenders. That second goal was very reminiscent of El Niño.
His advantage over Torres is that he’s less one-footed, and that will potentially make him an even better player.
