I hope Rafa retires. His time at Everton was a disaster, and it will surely have hurt his reputation outside of our club and Tyneside.

Replace Burnley with Manchester United.

Could happen!

Is there a translation for this? I mean, I did laugh, but I had no idea what he was saying.

A stupid decision to appoint him and a stupid decision to accept. Time bomb from day 1.

A few weeks ago Evertonians staged a walkout on 27 minutes to symbolise that its been 27 years without winning a trophy and they aren’t happy with this. They have just sacked a manager who has won major honours in several countries, including more European trophies than their club has, and has managed some of the biggest clubs in the world.

They weren’t happy he couldn’t fix years of decline within a few weeks and with a £2m summer transfer kitty.

Evertonians now want to replace the manager who has won all those honours and European trophies with a man who’s never managed a football club full time. The same man who was the assistant to several previous failed managers. His previous job was as a striker. As a striker he averaged 6 league goals a season for Everton.

Give the job to Rooney please. lol. I know it’s unlikely, but if they were to go down, it would be devastating for them. Look at what it did to NewCastle who were a much bigger club than them. They never recovered from it and are just lucky someone is bailing them out now.

His bank balance says otherwise…

Remember what Bill Kenwright said a few months ago, “One very famous football club said to me two or three days ago ‘whenever we have a problem we say ‘what would the Everton board do?’ because they always get it right’"
I think that gem might come back to haunt him.

I’m pleased that Rafa doesn’t have to endure their shite anymore - and I suspect the lovely compo payment will soften that blow.

Doubt they will be relegated. Really looking forward to seeing what nonsense they come up with next - Martinez would be funny to have back.

Speaks volumes now when they’d love to have Martinez back, he’s not so bad anymore, eh? Honestly, he’d be a bit dumb to rush to Everton right now. Finish his work with Belgium and he’ll probably have much better offers than this Everton situation. Graeme Sharp in the board, Big Dunc, etc. Best to avoid for now, from his perspective.

Ferguson is a violent thug so that makes him good enough in their eyes. It’s their default position whenever they’re in this situation, dog’s of war, kick 'em in the air bullshit.
Get the siren going, turn Goodison into a bear-pit, kick fuck out of everyone blah blah blah…rinse and repeat.

Love to see it but it just wont happen.

They are lucky this season there are 4 teams who are absolute garbage and 3 of those will go. They were also lucky to play a lot of dross at home early in the season before the vitriol towards Rafa really took hold. If they appoint Ferguson they’ll more than likely scrape a couple of wins early on on through violence and aggression before once again falling away but they’ll have enough points to be safe.
