I’ll have a bitter please...It’s the Everton thread

The BBC, in speculative glory, even threw Mourinho into the mix. Now that would be funny.

If they don’t appoint Ferguson now then what does it say about him eh…
Can’t tell me he has been innocent in the shit stirring behind Rafa’s back…
Give him the job with Fatty Unsworth as his second in command… Oh what fun we would have watching Laurel & Hardy giving it their best eh :0)
Talk of Roberto Martinez coming back and he is two years younger then DF…

And if they put Ferguson in charge, the ‘dogs of war’ shit starts on Saturday against Stevie and Villa. The sight of Gerrard on the line at Goodison will get the neanderthals frothing at the mouth.

That is never getting old… But yeah it’s that attitude, lets get an old player in, he will safe us.

I think it only works if they have a semblance of quality, for every Xavi or Zidane there are 50 or 60 Shearer’s

God, if they go for Rooney. It could be magical.

Thing is, Rooney’s not doing too bad in the Championship is he, considering Derby’s situation? Could be valuable skills for Everton next season…

Ouch,

Dream scenario.

Drunken Disorderly appointed as manager. By mid February they have 6 players suspended. The trend continues and they are relegated.

Rooney to the rescue, in partnership with Ole. Ditching a solid Derby side they try to turn Everton into United. They succeed and are relegated again.

Coutinho and Lucas Digne to score the goals as well

Coutinho to score would be funny. Was amusing on Saturday but at Goodison as well.

Now that Rafa is gone I’m happy for Coutinho to absolutely destroy Everton. Five goals or we riot.

It’s home truths time for the Ev fans - they’ve blamed Rafa for all this drama. Prior to that they were in good hands in Carlo, but clearly Carlo wasn’t impressed with the way the clubs run and the second Real called him it was goodbye, which is telling.

However, in the grand scheme of things, it’s not all down to Rafa as to why Everton are where they are - it’s Moshiri’s poor structure.

The levels of funniness, should they go down, would be something else - but it’s not realistic that this will happen.

Rooney is doing a good job at Derby, and I think he’d be stupid to jump ship right now. The Everton job will come up again (a good few times) for Rooney, who’s got a good few years in management.

Martinez is a funny option - but again its pie in the sky - why would the manager of Belgium, with a world cup looming and a really good squad, walk away now.

Potter is a great manager and risks too much leaving Brighton for the Ev too.

Lampard is the one that’s free - let him do it with the big thug dunc.

So the media is full of talk about who should replace Rafa.

The key ingredients being knowing the club, being a football man - knowing the game, successful. So someone that is a fan, a local lad, played in P/L, played for England and won leagues/cups/Champions League titles.

I give you the only logical choice

Allardyce said on talkSPORT about the prospect of becoming the new manager of Everton: "If they needed me to help them out or they felt the need, yes, I would. I wouldn’t say that would be long term because I am not sure that would be right for Everton or for me.”

The Englishman added: "Now I think it’s Duncan’s time, and I think he is ready. If I can help Duncan in any shape or form, I would do that because I think he is a fantastic guy and I think he is Everton through and through. Maybe that’s what the club needs at the moment.”

There’s an amusing and delightful parallel between the Scums and the Bitters situations. Media and fans never pointed fingers at the shitload of players and the utterly useless management staffs. Whatever genius they hire it will be shit. Long it may continue.

It’s a lose lose situation for them, even if they get a decent manager who can sort it out, they will have to spend money to fix the squad, the more they spend, the more pressure there will be to succeed immediately. Whem they don’t the fans will circle and force him out and they’ll be back to square one.
