Of course, it is not the players, though perhaps the mix is wrong. A club rots the way a fish does, from the head, but it usually smells like hubris. The Everton board think of themselves as a great exemplar of a well-run club. The players, managers, the whole system is incoherent and has been since Moyes left.

I really disliked some of the ways the liverpool fans engaged in the banter in this time. It veered too often from taking the piss out of everton to disrespecting rafa. Im glad that period is over so we can just go back to rafa simply being the guy who brought us #5.
Everton are such a train wreck though. I didnt think there was anything more depressingly backwards looking that the way they insist on Ferguson having an important role at the club. Today I found there is…Duncan Ferguson wearing Howard Kendall’s watch
