In a very stretched way, they could be right.
If Rafa is still around, Fwank wouldn’t be at the helm leading them to defeat after defeat after defeat.
So, it’s all Rafa’s fault for being sacked.
This is not a windup. We are going down under Lampard, he’s won 1 game and lost 5 in the league. Including losses to Newcastle, Southampton and Wolves.
The future of the club now needs to be decided. If we go down then it could be horrendous for us (Derby, Sunderland spring to mind) We just need to pick up points, staying up is still possible and it’s in our hands but Lampard can’t even get draws. There was no real new manager bounce with him either.
Sam will keep us up if he joins and the future of Everton depends on it.
Time for Big Sam | GrandOldTeam
This escalated quickly. They’ll be building a statue of Big Sam now
Have Everton fans given up on a top four finish yet?
They have such short memories, he did win the Premier League for them in September.
They are bottom 4 , does that count as a win?
Let them go down. One less ‘dirty’ team to contend with.
And a little statue of Sammy Lee next to it.
Plus a big one of Prickford, with tiny arms, of course.
The big question now is surely not “how many points will they get from their three games in hand on Watford” but instead “how badly will those three games in hand impact their goal difference?”
Could it be enough for an eight goal swing that would drop them into the bottom three? You wouldn’t bet against it.
There is still the chance that Everton gets points deducted.
They definitely are blaming Rafa. Pointing to such measures as: He was a red, he sold our best player (a lb), he destroyed the players confidence, and many other gems. While also ignoring the fact that it was the points he won that are keeping them out of the relegation zone right now
Fat Fwank’s multiple speeding tickets when he escapes the blueshite after being given the arse
All we need is some Thank you agent rafa posters etc etc and T Rex pictures etc etc when Everton come visiting Anfield
If Dele Alli is the answer you have already failed the question
Dele probably figures this is the closest he gets to playing his home matches in anfield.
In the days before random kick off times we played a home match on grand national day against Ipswich at 11 or 12pm.
It felt weirdly exciting at the time. The grand national is now later so I wonder if that’s what has made a 12.30pm kick off ok.
The only game I can ever remember being explicitly on National day was the day we thrashed Wednesday at Hillsborough, which was exactly one week before we want back for that fateful semi final.
We beat the Ev 1-0 at Anfield in 1976 on Grand National day David Fairclough (Supersub) getting the winner. Rag Trade won the GN.
It was indeed on Grand National day, early kick off. I was there, in the Anfield Road end. I’m sure we also played a home game against Swansea on Grand National day, when Toshack was their manager.
