And despite that huge advantage for Everton…
I see a rumour if they lose at the weekend fat sam will be appointed.
In fairness I’m sure we’ve all had that moment in our lives where we’ve been told by the opposite sex “it’s only a game”
Whts funny about that phrase is that it’s only ever uttered at the one time you REALLY don’t want to hear it
My dad and brothers are Everton fans.
I don’t talk football with them anymore. To do so feels embarrassing. Like discussing your high flying job with a hobo.
Also the word “coimed”.
No, but they will always try because they’re obsessed with LFC. I can guarantee within a minute of any conversation, they will say something about Liverpool.
If they do sack Lampard it’s got to the point of pointless, I also do hope when trying to stave off this points deduction that the PL turn around and go what about this then as I assume sacking Lampard won’t be cheap.
Anyone but Big Sam mind in a Derby… eurgh.
THey’ve already had Big Sam, and turfed his gravy slurping arse out the door, so doubt he would go back to them.
My bet would be Pardew or Pullis if Fat Fwank is given the boot
I hope he rejects them.
Pardew is semi retired I feel, Paul Lambert has never lost to Liverpool so please not him. Pulis has sank now. Their best choice would be Chris Wilder but no one like that will go at this point in the season.
How about Colin Warnock? Also Big Dunc deserves a shot
Can’t be bothered checking but seem to recall they were in the bottom 3 or thereabouts when they last appointed the 2 Sams and they maybe finished 8th.
I don’t see them having the money to pay off two managers within a season. They’ve to pay Rafa 8M as a severance package and I assume Fwank’s package will be about the same. They are already fucked with FFP and anything more will doom them
Saying that about Big Sam, I do think the Alisson header ended that particular voodoo and led to that anomaly of Sam never taking a club down.
I don’t see Sam taking this job on. He was almost as unpopular with everton fans as rafa was.
Who’s Colin Warnock? Is he related to Neil?
No he is Bill Warnock’s son…lives round the corner from me. Worth a try
He’ll probably do a better job than the current manager.
a random everton fan who plays football manager and still manages to finish 8th will do a better job than fwank.
Ok, got it now….I think.
Just saw this comment on the Guardian match report:
They asked Peter Reid how this side compares to mid 80’s Everton.
“To be fair they might give us a game but we would edge it… mind you we are all over 65 and 3 of the side are dead”…
