Beyond that overhead kick I’m failing to remember a shot on goal last night, apparently they came in the first half but bar the penalties you have to wonder where they will score.
As for the pens both are just about pens, if the first isn’t given it doesn’t get overturned as I’ve seen far worse not overturned and Gordon does a delayed jump/dive.
My Lad is a Blue. Not a bitter Blue though. We often have reasoned chats not just about our teams, but football in general. For him and other decent Blue fans that I know I want the Ev to stay up. But when I see some of the 5hi7e that the bitter blues are spouting then I’m not so sure.
I think most people from Merseyside are the same. They will have friends and family who are Blues. I wonder if they do get relegated whether the Bitter element would disappear but I suspect it might be the best thing that ever happened to them and if we win multiple trophies it could lead to a well of disenchantment that could last them for a generation.
Why do Evertonians not push back against the lazy narrative that they’ve never been relegated?
If they got neutrals checking the facts, I personally feel it would be better for the bitters to acknowledge 1950-51 and the promotion three years later at our expense.
